Need my coffee to be super hot so I’m partial to stovetop espresso makers. I have another Alessi stovetop maker, but it was the Sapper 6 cup one which lost its sheen fairly quickly - and I needed to cut back, since I’ll drink all that’s made. This one is super easy to clean, the copper base thing seems to prevent it from burnishing and the filter does a great job. Maybe it’s because there’s less of it, but coffee is more flavorful / tastes better in it, too. Big fan!

I bought this to replace the one I bought used on eBay 15 years ago. I used it everyday at least once. It’s a quality product, heavy grade stainless steel with a copper piece on the bottom. Its capacity is 6 1 oz espresso shots. What I’m doing differently with this one is keeping the heat at the lowest possible level. This seems to be making it easier to keep the copper polished and will hopefully keep the lower half from blackening. I drink Illy Intenso, their boldest espresso roast and use a little less water b/c I like it very strong. By varying the roast and water that should accommodate anyone’s taste.I’m keeping the old one in case I have guests.

Best Moka pot I've ever used. Its beautiful and functions perfectly. All parts were machined to perfection. Making coffee with this moka pot bring happiness everytime I use it. I got the 3 cup version and its perfect for me.

(5 estrellas por la estética y 0 estrellas por las funcionalidades)¡La cafetera es preciosa!¡Hace un pésimo café!Yo tengo cerca de 70 cafeteras (Atomic Robbiati, Bialleti, OMG, Giannini ...) de diversas medidas y de variados modelos; modelos de los años cincuenta hasta los días de hoy y puedo afirmar que esta Alessi debe ser la cafetera que hace el peor café ...Pienso que se produce un error de concepción (la columna de ascenso del café es demasiado alta y estrecha lo que hace con lo que es imposible evitar que el agua hierva y se alcance la fase Stromboliana, haciendo quemar el café; creo que en este caso se ignoró por completo la funcionalidad y se contempló sólo la estética del diseñador Aldo Rossi. Es una pena que la marca Alessi no haya hecho correcciones en este modelo Alessi "La Conica" para conseguir un café razonable, al menos ...Llamo la atención que este es el modelo más caro de Alessi.

Looks and feels fantastic. It's heavy, very solid. Splendid piece!It's not perfect: the handle gets hot towards the top, as does the lid.But it is as functional as you'd expectIn my opinion, well worth the premium over the La Cupola.

I had one of these about 20 years ago and loved it. Design that has stood the test of time. It will discolor over time but that is to be expected of an item exposed to high heat over long period. Makes a great cup of coffee.

Bereits zuvor hatte ich eine derartige Espressomaschine von Alessi, nachdem die Bialetti dankenswerter Weise von Amazon retour genommen wurde. Die Espressomaschine funktioniert wie man von ihr erwartet, es ist nichts undicht, die Verarbeitung ist sauber und der Kaffee schmeckt sehr gut. Tipp: Nicht zu fein mahlen (und auch nicht anpressen), sonst braucht das Wasser zu lange bis es hochgehen kann und der Kaffee schmeckt dann zu bitter. Wer sich mit den Gefahren von Aluminium auseinandergesetzt hat, wird dieses aus Edelstahl gefertigte Gerät absolut zu schätzen wissen.
