Most if not all wall studs in your home are 16" apart, for what ever reason the only two iffy mounts on this are 18" apart. You can mount one on a stud but need a heavy wall anchor for the second. For the weight going on this I feel there should be more , better, mounts and mount points. (which you can modify and add) if its going on the floor no worries but who does that. Its good for the price, solid when assembled needs to extra tinkering for secure no worry wall mounting, IMO. otherwise its good stuff.

It's cute but small, it looks nice. The wood is soft and you have to be very careful not to over tighten, or the holes will strip. I like the slotted grooves it gives you the option of where you want to place the planter boxes and or if you want to put your own shelves in. My overall opinion it looks cute, easy to put together, but way over priced for what it is.

Because I live in the desert, I decided I'd better take the recommendations of some of the reviewers and paint the wood to protect it. I live in the brutal Phoenix valley. For the most part, this product is okay, but it's such low quality wood, you'd better make sure you sand it before priming it. Because of this, I think this planter is seriously overpriced and should be sold for no more than $40 tops. I also wish there was a tray for the bottom to catch the water as it drips to protect the wood. I'll have to get a shallow gutter or something to do that. That being said, I do think it's cute and hope to get a hand full of years out of it.

Kind of expensive (at least at the time I purchased it), but well built. I found assembling it to be easy. I was looking for something non-toxic, because I wanted something like this in my bathroom & can't stand the smell of a lot of the new things that I've purchased lately. This smells a bit like cedar at first, which is pleasant to me. If I remember correctly, I believe it is actually made of fir, so the cedar smell must be from the wood stain.I had a hard time choosing between this one and the one with shelves, because I wanted a combination of both (like the video shows). I ended up choosing this one and adding a shelf (had to remove one of the planters of course). I receive many compliments on my Algreen planter, which now holds plants as well as a few decorative items and scented pine cones in my bathroom.I didn't use the lattice work that goes on the back, because I wanted to guarantee a very flush mount, since it is hanging above my toilet. My brown tile wall shows through it, and it looks great. We were going for relaxing & nature type feeling in the bathroom (you know, for those luxury baths that you always intend to spoil yourself with, but never seem to find the time to take), and feel this planter added to that. It still looks new, even though it's been exposed to humidity from showers for the last 7 monthsAs a side note, this item came with instructions stating that for outdoor use, the consumer should put a protective coating on it. It's advertised for outdoor use, but I would question how long it would stand up to the elements (as is) in an unprotected outdoor setting.

The kits were easy to put together and install. They are good quality for the cost of the product. I have a wooden fence around a very small big city backyard, so I need my garden to grow vertically. I used burlap twine to hang the frames from the tops of the fence. I purchased two. They give a nice feeling of outdoor space when I open the back door to the outside from my small row house!

It's ok - I had to remove one planter trough as the others were growing too much and they do have a tendancy to slide out - recommend a wire tie to secure them.

Some of the other reviewers spoke about not having enough room to have all 3 planters inserted. Well, yeah...if you're putting larger plants. duh. This year, I'm using 2 inserts, and saving the 3rd. Next year, I will probably use all 3. I've moved the top insert down a bit, and it has beans and cucumbers - climbers - so I'll tie twine from the (very handy) holes in the sides of the inserts and loop it up and through eye bolts (attached at the roof edge) and then back down. This way the climbers can climb UP. The plants in the bottom insert are peppers, so won't grow very tall. This is perfect for me. No complaints. The finish is nice (though, we used a bit of tongue oil just to make sure) and it looks great hanging on the shed.
