This arrives in a very travel friendly flat rectangle & is easy to get back into the same flat rectangle for travel & storage (love the included travel case). Fits in the bottom of a dance bag very easily. Hang the hooks on your hanging rack/bar & voila! I've found it's easy keeping the top 1 or 2 shelves for accessories & tights if those are going to be changed in the competition & keep shoes in lower shelves, though the shelves are deep enough to keep all non-hanging parts of each dance outfit on 1 shelf if the shoe size is women's 7 or smaller (I just don't want to risk snags) or can store 2 or 3 pairs of shoes per shelf depending on shoe size.This is also great for general travel where you'll be staying in a hotel, cabin/house/apartment, or RV-anywhere with a hanging bar/rack that space is premium. Most hotels & air B&Bs have dressers, but out of sight is out of mind to me. I often forget to check drawers before heading back home & have lost some favorite items that way. I can hang this on the bar in the little hotel closet area & use it for things I'd normally put in drawers like pants/jeans, sweaters, & the like. This can also be used the same way at home to maximize closet space. Do be aware of weight per shelf, though due to construction. I wouldn't put anything heavier than a single pair of jeans (& nothing else with them) per shelf.The shelves are a clear vinyl material, easy to wipe down with a damp rag/damp soapy rag followed by a damp rag rinse/cleaning spray/cleaning wipe & then either air dried or wiped with dry towel/clean dry rag. I would NOT machine wash or dry this item.

This hanging dance shoe organizer is exactly what we needed! It holds a decent amount of weight without sagging, and the cubbies are the perfect size for all kinds of dance shoes from ballet, jazz, tap, you name it. It keeps everything neat, easy to grab, and saves so much space. Great quality and super convenient!
