Love it! I've had it in my Jeep for a couple of years now and the corner over the driver's side never flattened out and still has a weird fold to it but it's not a huge problem. The best part is the protection from the sun. My skin is sensitive and I burn really fast, so this sun shield had been a life saver.

I've burned through several susnshades through the years on my Rubicon JK, but this Alien Sunshade is by far the best. Super high quality, perfect fit (custom for my year range), and great instructional videos via QR codes as part of the instruction card. Much better fit than any of my other three, easy to install, and best of all they stay tight and look great whether I have the opp back or not. My last one sagged when I dosconnected the the two bungees from the convertible top attachment rings. The Alien stays nice and tight and looks great.

I tried going topless but wanted some shade from the sun and thought if I did get a soft top that I could keep it installed. It was a pain to install the front and rear. Wouldn't want to do that more than once. I bought a soft top, less work to lower and raise then dealing with this IMO.

Would have given 5 stars but it was kind of a pain putting the hardtop back on top. Especially because of the front loops and the handles to secure the front panels but otherwise it worked. Just left out some of the balls from the front. Also for the holes ontop to align with the screws it had to get pulled further back so now theres a gap at the front. Still serves its purpose well though. I would buy again if I had another jeep.

Shade was a bit of a jigsaw to fit, had bungies left over. Some really small ones that had no obvious way to go.Works well with roof off - so recommend!

I am completely and hopelessly in love with my Alien Sunshade. I adore my Jeep top-down but living in Florida, that means many months are off limits due to intensely searing heat in the Sunshine State. It hit a bit early this year. When we topped 92 and I was stuck in traffic, I knew dreaded top-up time had arrived and I began to sink into a slight depression at the prospect of enclosed travelling. Thank all the powers of automotive deities that I discovered Alien! It is AMAZING and unbelievably easy to install. You can even leave it on when you put the top up. Best of all…it WORKS! Really, really well! As I crossed a bridge, I actually felt the cool air coming off the river instead of the blazing sun on my head. Sitting in traffic, the shade not only protects from the sun but also holds the AC in better. I swear it makes the stereo louder too. I think the mesh "bounces" the sound back in from the speaker bar or it could be that the lack of imminent heatstroke enhances my hearing. Honestly, I love this product so much, if you give me enough time I'll probably discover that my Alien Sunshade makes me look younger and drive better too! :) I may rename my Jeep, Roswell, so that my Alien feels right at home! If you are hesitant to purchase this...don’t be. If you ever feel uncomfortable in the sun with the top down...this is the cure. To enjoy your Jeep all summer, there are only two things you need: the key and your Alien Sunshade. I was NOT compensated in any way to endorse this product I just fricking love it and want everyone to know how great it is. I also want to address the comments that Alien is a “rip-off” of another brand. Bullpoo. If that line of thinking is correct then anyone driving a car that is not a Ford or has a phone not made by Bell is using a rip-off. Come on! This is America and we compete. That is what makes us strong. Competition keeps companies striving to go farther and do better. This is exactly what Alien did; better price, better warranty, incredible product and a much cooler logo! Plus, I was truly impressed with their excellent personal customer service. I emailed for info and got an immediate direct response from the owner! Alien rules the cool!

2016 JK Sahara: My Jeep came with a hard top, but now that it's warm, I had installed a Bestop NX a few weeks ago. I was a little worried if the Alien Sunshade would fit with the extra Bestop hardware, such as new door and roof-line sills and panels. Luckily, this was no issue, so if you are running a Bestop NX soft top, this will work just fine. The only hint is that the two "anti-flapping" straps for the Bestop have to be disconnected while threading the bungee cords through the holes where the bolts go to secure the Freedom top. Then just reconnect everything and you are good to go.Installation of the sun shade was easy and required no modifications. I laid the sunshade in the sun for about an hour and it became nice and pliable. The bungee balls are the perfect sizes, and the cut and quality of the material seem first rate. After installation, I ran some errands around town. I was pleased with the results. Even though it was about 90 degrees and sunny, there was plenty of cooling air flow. While some people reported loosing that "open air vibe", I didn't feel that way. There was PLENTY of sunshine coming through the top as it was high noon, but it didn't feel nearly as scorching as without the netting. I also did not notice any additional wind or flapping noises. Closing the top was easy after removing the three small bungee balls at the front.Overall, I'm please with the product and the price point.
