Everything I wanted for my shower head mount

I ordered this shower-head holder after I had seen a hand-held shower offering on Amazon that had I liked but that I did not order because it did not come with a holder for the shower head. I ordered this one so I'd have it for a hand-held shower that I intended to order later. However, the listings that I encountered soon after came with their own shower-head holders. So I have not used this one yet. Unlike the light-plastic holders packed with the light-plastic shower sets, this holder is made of solid brass and is heavier and sturdier. Its shape and dimensions are exactly like the plastic ones. It can be used with the plastic sets.I like the quality of this holder and hope to use it in the future.

The modern shower was invented somewhere around 1760 AD or so. One would think, in the intervening millennium, it would have been engineered to perfection by now.And one would generally be right. The user interface for a shower is pretty well understood. But that doesn't solve the makers of plumbing appliances from trying to put a new spin on things, oh no, which is why every time you stay in a hotel you have to figure out the user interface all over again? Push or rotate? Twist for temperature, or tilt? Lift a lever or pull a ring to make the water come out of the shower? So it was with the flip-head handheld shower I recently got right here on Amazon, only to find that in addition to a convoluted user interface, they'd also made a bracket that sticks onto the wall with a giant sticker, rather than the clamp that screws onto the water pipe that most handheld showers use.Which is fine and good, unless the tiles in your shower have been painted, in which case the sticker bracket thingy just pulls the paint right off. (Ask how I found out. Go ahead, ask.)So back to Amazon for this bracket.Which is metal, not plastic. And has a removable insert that lets it work with thicker showerheads.(Good thing, too. My showerhead didn't fit until I popped out the insert.) And is solid metal, not plastic. And comes with Teflon tape.Five stars, simple engineering that works.

This fixture definitely feels all metal and weights almost 9 ounces, so I am very happy with the quality. It came with a small amount of plumber's tape, one screened gasket and one open-ring gasket. The portion that screws onto the wall-pipe has small dents to make it easier to grip and tighten, and the threads are even and smooth. There is no adjustability on the angle of the shower-head clamp - it is what it is. We wound up not using ours, as we replaced the shower head and got an entire new set of fixture pieces. I would be a bit concerned that the water-line connector is very close to the clamp, so be prepared to try it out in case the angle doesn't work for you. When so many items from China feel like cheap plastic, this piece is a welcome bit of quality, worth a try!

I was excited to see a metal showerhead mount as the last few showerheads have all ended up with a broken mounting bracket. But this one just doesn't hold the shower heads well, I have tightened it as much as I can and it still sags. Sometimes it falls and sags slowly, other times it just drops. I gave it three stars because maybe I got a one off lemon and the thing FEELS solid, but at the end of the day it still sags and my water ends up spraying straight down.

I’m completely happy with this All Metal Shower Head Holder Bracket. It is so hard to find a metal shower head holder. I have replaced at least six plastic holders over the past couple of years. I was excited to locate this strong and beautiful matte finish metal fitting. I couldn’t ask for better quality.

This came in yesterday and the first thing I thought when I opened the box was…wow that’s solid. It’s matte black and feels indestructible. Now I just need more black fittingsDefinitely recommend

When I installed this shower head holder, I made sure to try to not scrape the black coating with the wrench, but even though I was cautious, the coating was still scraped off by a wrench. It looks great, but I cannot tell you how many times I was washing my hair and the shower head slipped right out of this holder and bopped me right on my head. The swivel ability of this showerhead isn't the issue. The problem is that the powder coating has made the holder too smooth, so there isn't a grip for the shower head to prevent it from falling out when the water is turned on. I believe this thing needs teeth in the interior where you placed the showerhead.
