I just recently set up a two-barrel rainwater catchment system. I wanted an easy way to determine how much water was in there and first tried this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H9ZWVVU . However, if you read my review of that product, you will see that it is not suited to the purpose. So I had noticed these mechanical indicators popping up, but all were coated steel. That was something I did not want in our rain barrels. After tracking down the company website I realized they had these all stainless and aluminum versions, so I gave this one a try. My barrels are a closed system, so it was important that the indicator system not allow leaks when the barrels are completely full and this unit fits that need perfectly. We are now able to easily see how much water is in our system!
