The pieces are small any many interchangeable. Some of the pieces are cut where the color changes so you can’t be sure if the pieces fit there. I had to take pieces out of the edge several times to correct the mistakes when I found the inside pieces couldn’t fit right. Frustrating.

Absolutely beautiful puzzle! I really enjoyed putting it together but I was disappointed because to my surprise it was missing 1 piece.

I enjoyed this puzzle, immensely. The colors are soothing, and the pieces fit together nicely and feel good in-hand. No dust at all, which is kinda nice even if not a necessity (puzzle dust really doesn't bother me). No missing or broken pieces. The uniform cut and obvious edges make this a fairly easy puzzle to work. I was able to complete it in two evenings. The even color tones throughout add a little challenge. I found I often had to really pay attention to fine details in order to correctly place a piece. I would say on a difficulty scale of 1-to-10, this is about a 5. I will definitely enjoy this puzzle many times over! I even went back to see if this seller had any other designs in 500-count, and nothing of interest... but I'll keep checking. FYI: I am a senior with good eye sight, and am an experienced puzzler.

This particular puzzle has very sturdy cardboard pieces that lock into each other easily. Unlike Springboks of the past, they dont stay locked if you pick up a connected grouping to place it but it's not a deal breaker. The most interesting thing about this butterfly puzzle is that it allows you to do an easier version with its lettered pieces. Find all the As & assemble that section & so on. 2 sections are completed in the attached photo. Its like doing a bunch of mini puzzles then connecting them to complete the big one. Its a little too easy but challenging enough if you are looking for a very mild challenge. Or you can mix it up--do a lettered section then change course & look for needles in a haystack. Or dont do the lettered section method at all. Its a beautiful puzzle--the box is cheap & thats a minus for me because I love a good sturdy box. But it doesnt lose a rating star because of it. It was a good purchase for me.

This puzzle will be a Christmas present for my adult Son. He loves solving things for the company he works for and doing puzzles is just another fun thing to do keep his mind sharp. I have given him puzzles before and he often finishes them quickly. He is 50 years old.
