I used this accessory for a 2 day festival, I din’t want to use a backpack or shoulder bag so I decided to purchase this. It came in handy, everything I needed fit into every possible pocket plus it’s very stylish. It went well with my outfits but the only thing was the neck strap, it wasn’t a problem at first but as the day went on it started to get irritating and the heat didn’t make it any better. The neck patch kept folding up and I had to keep readjusting it and it became a problem after a while. It’s perfect except for that tiny flaw. I was just amazed of everything I can slide into each compartment, I kept adding things as the day went on no problem, it’s just strap.

The shoulder straps do not sit the greatest and it seems like a design flaw. The materials seems decent, but not fantastic. I returned as these concepts would likely annoy me more than satisfy, over time.

Great product let down by unnecessarily bulky neck cushioning and straps that once tightened the excess strap has no fasting. The neck pad offers webbing for those straps but as it moves about the excess strapping works its way out. The pad should be flatter without the padding and binding should be applied to straps for excess. The actual pockets and storage a well thought out, roomy and offer diverse and numerous pocketing for all sorts of fishing accessories and applications.I fish beach/surf, rocks, canoe, and hike into gorges for trout and the harness works really well for all. It’s just a shame that the neck pad creates discomfort and too of a sweat point and the excess strapping needs rubber banding to control.

The lightweight vest has plenty of pockets/storage and accommodated all the gear I need. I've yet to fish in it but I don't see a downside. A 'D' or two on the front of the vest might help with attaching accessories but I've managed with my attachments as is. I'll update after I get in the water!

Hands down the best fly fishing vest for the money. I have tried a lot of sling packs that hurt your back... I have tried a lot of fly fishing vest with mesh get so hot. To the gentleman that said it hurts his neck I have not had any of that issue. I have a wider frame in wider neck it doesn't hurt at all. The stitching is perfect haven't had any problems. Love the fact that it has little loops above the pockets to add zingers. I have four zingers one for clippers one for floatant and one for pliers. The pockets are perfect size for tip it spools and anything you need for fly fishing. Honestly if I was rich I would buy this vest still. Absolutely no need to spend more money.

Sits on neck and not comfortable at all. Won't be using this one at all. Product quality is decent though if you don't mind it on the back of your neck.

I wear this all the time just because I don't like carrying a purse but I like having a lot of pockets. I wish it came in other colors, though; I'd like to cover it in rainbow embroidery but I'm not sure if putting a million tiny holes in it would be a good idea.My friend was shocked that I got a whole package of wet wipes in the inside pocket. Could probably get a paperback book in there. The other pockets hold my phone, smokes, trash, could probably get an ashtray in there too. The two top pockets are tiny but are just the right size for a car fob or a small set of keys. I haven't tried to hook anything onto the back loop by the neck, but it looks useful. There's a lot of pockets. It's not the softest material, obviously, but it doesn't chafe too much, though it can rub the wrong way under a seatbelt or if you're unlucky enough to fall asleep wearing it it will leave marks.

Heavy material and well designed with plenty of room for all your fly fishing items +. Easily adjustable for fit, big or small, comfortable neck pad, and no vest to sweat under! I have a couple "nice" vests, and yet I keep coming back to this one. If I need extra things like jackets, rain gear, waders, lunch etc etc, I just throw a day pack over it. Cold weather?... no problem. Readjust the shoulder and waist straps to fit over your heavy coat! Can't do that with a vest loaded full of your goodies. Chest packs are great, but most of them hang on your neck all day or flop around. This one has shoulder straps I find comfortable and a waist belt/strap you can cinch up to your liking. Makes for a pretty snug fitting rig.The difference between this and other chest packs IMO is the rear vertical strap that's adjustable. The combination allows you to adjust it so that the weight isn't pulling on your neck all day like others. 3 quick-release buckles on front (each shoulder strap and one between the packs) make it easy to rip out of if, God forbid, an emergency arises. There's also a quick release buckle on the waist strap on the right hand side if needed. The upper zippered pockets at the top of either pouch/pack are actually two pockets, separated inside by sewn in yellow liner material. Not a new idea, but certainly an unexpected surprise and pleasure. The zippered pockets next to the main pockets are the same size (height & width) as the main pockets. Small mesh pockets on front of main pockets/pouches are perfect. And yes, those are two "huge" mesh pockets on the back or inside of the packs.Overall this has become my go-to-vest so-to-speak. The only thing missing is a rod holder. But with a little ingenuity that's easily resolved for left or right handed fishermen/women. A loop of sorts attached to the d-ring on bottom and a Velcro patch/strip fitted to the accessory strip on the breast pocket (or sewn on if your so inclined) and problem's solved! With a little thought, you could actually use one of the packs as a sling-bag if you "really" wanted too. I personally have no need or desire for one, but I'll leave that one for you to figure out ;-) .Overall this is how I would design a chest pack and couldn't be happier with this one, other than it missing a rod holder system. Certainly not a deal breaker and can be remedied as noted above. A vest is not a coat, and a coat is not a vest. This design affords year round use and versatility for all seasons, climates, and dress. Thanks Allen Co. for a great, simple and effective useful design. I highly recommend this one!

This is one of the best purchases I've made for fishing ever! Before I was lugging around a massive heavy tackle box with all my stuff. That's fine for fishing somewhere stationary like a dock or pier, but it became a huge pain when salmon fishing along a river where I need to be very mobile and keep a close eye on my stuff. It looks great and fits well. It holds a surprising amount of stuff for its size without bulging or becoming bulky. The quality throughout is outstanding. No cheap Chinese knockoff here, like much of the stuff on Amazon these days. I strongly recommend getting some small plastic lure boxes to keep all your hooks and lures together and keep in the big front pockets. The perfect size is about 6-7 inches by 4-5 inches and an inch or less deep. I can fit two boxes in one pocket easily and it's a great way to keep all the small and sharp stuff organized and accessible. I'm one very happier fisherman since I got this! Highly recommended!

Exactly what I was looking for, no cumbersome and big thick material. Disassembles and reassembles easily. Lots of useful pockets. Cool air flow design to keep cool in the outdoors. Happy with purchase.
