Most of my lenses are Takumar from pentax when it comes to this adapter. Haven't tried any film yet but the image thru viewfinder looks just fine.

The adapter is advertised as a M42 Type 2 adapter, which means it's supposed to have an aperture flange to make contact with a pin on the back of many M42 lenses. This adapter is Type 1 (no aperture flange).

The adapter looks good and it has good material construction, but when mounted you cannot focus with the lens, when you try to focus just unscrews the lens from the adapter. So it is useless.
