I was looking for a way to keep equipment that I just installed from getting dirty. This is exactly for this purpose. I installed a new hydraulic clutch master cylinder but did not install the manual transmission with the hydraulic throw-out bearing until over the winter. This allowed me to drive the car with the automatic until I got to the transmission swap. In my case there was no fluid in the system, I just wanted to keep it clean until I was ready for the transmission swap. I've since done the transmission swap, the lines remained clean as intended. these caps can be reused, though they are soft enough that you could easily crush them with a pair of pliers. This was well worth the money.Note these are not intended for pressure use, if you need to cap a line that is in use do not use these caps.

much better than the plastic caps. you can actually put a little torque on these to keep them on when you need to block off some fittings. i have a fuel pressure regulator that i'm going to plumb around because i'm using a fuel pump that doesn't require it. these will keep dust out of the regulator so it be be clean when i go back to using it at a later date.
