Your cart is empty.Billet aluminum spacer fits between intake manifold and water neck providing connection options for temperature senders or additional water lines. 1" tall spacer includes four 1/2" NPT ports with plugs and an O-ring seal on one side eliminating the need for a gasket. The key to success in a car building project is access to high quality, reasonably priced parts that get the job done right. Each Allstar part is the result of our dedication to research and development. Once a need is established, parts are designed and manufactured by talented craftsmen, many of whom are racers and hot rodders themselves. Many Allstar Performance parts are one-of-a-kind; you won't find them anywhere else

This adapter is tapped in 4 locations for ½ NPT, not sure how many water temp sensors are 1/2 but none of mine are. This adapter was tapped for ½ NPT all the way around and I ended up having to buy a pack of 1/2 NPT to 3/8 NPT reducers in order to be able to add my sensors. The plus for this style is that I wanted to run two sensors, one for the original car dash and a second for the EFI controller being added to a factory carbureted vehicle. I would have preferred to not need reducer adapters on top of buying the adapter to begin with.

For the spacer to be effective, the thermostat needs to move up. But there's not a sink cut out (!). Using a gasket there without a sink won't last long.

Aluminum itself is not very conductive and the anodizing on the threads makes it a very sketchy way to get a grounded path to your temp sensor for electrical fans or whatever else you want to use there. I will have to solder a couple of grounding wires into the brass fittings of the temp sensors and ground that to the intake somewhere.Good design but they should anodize it and THEN drill and tap the NPT holes.I gave it only 3 stars because this is something made pretty much for adding sensors so it does not live up to what it was designed to do.
