This is such an easy way to divide a room or add some privacy. The instructions aren't great, but thankfully the whole thing is pretty self explanatory. I did it by myself and honestly, a second set of hands probably would have just gotten in my way.These are essentially tension rods that form a square. You need a solid floor and ceiling and you'll be good to go.I installed this between the cab and the living section of my motorhome. I can pull the curtain out of the way when I don't need it and pull it closed when I do. This provides me privacy, didn't require any modifications to my walls or ceiling, and it's very sturdy.Please note that i wouldn't normally recommend this type of item in am rv or motorhome, but I have real wood ceilings and the structural stability to allow it. As far as house applications I could see this being useful in any number of ways.

I ordered this set to use to hang curtains around a patio door. Our walls are cement and not easy to drill into without proper equipment. So putting anything up on an outside wall is a pain. This tension rod system is excellent. I was able to set these rods up, framing the patio doors, and not have to drill one single hole in the wall. The rods are extremely sturdy. I have reasonably heavy curtains with rings on them and am able to open and close them daily without the rod system even budging at all. I love how flexible of use these tension rods are. If in the future I don’t need them for the patio doors, I can use them for a room divider or to hang curtains elsewhere in my home. I could even use them to hang a backdrop for something if I wanted.Overall, this is an extremely sturdy tension rod system with ability to be used in many different circumstances.

I’m very happy with this product. Our house has bedrooms on either side of a central open great room-type area. I’ve been trying to set up a way to isolate a small portion of this central area in case the power goes out and we have to heat or cool a small area in order to just survive. (Making a tent under a table won’t work well for us because we are elderly and have trouble getting up and down.) I’ve also considered ways to insulate one small bedroom/office and bath that’s off a short hallway parallel to the main great room.This room divider curtain rod gives me a number of flexible ways to accomplish what I want to do. Our door jambs stick out from the wall three quarters of an inch, so when the rods are set up close to the wall, the drapes hang closely enough to help cut any air flow. It looks good, too!I used to have a roommate who worked all night and had to sleep during the day, and this divider would have worked well to help darken a sleeping area and also, with the right curtains, reduce sound. It would be great to make a fun-feeling nap-time area for kids. Such a nice product! The divider is very easy to set up and take down; just follow the clear instructions and watch the video here on Amazon. You can install it in a corner or straight across a large room opening.

I have been looking for something to divide off a part of a room and this fit my needs because it doesn't require any nailing into the walls or ceiling. It's all tension rods and you measure your ceiling height then pick the correct rods for the height, then just do like you would with any tension rod, say like the ones they have for bathroom corner shelving. The rods are very sturdy with good ends that grip the floor and ceiling. The rods connect and twist to tighten. Once you've got your main stabilizing floor to ceiling rods in place, you just add the hooks and then mount the horizontal bars, add your curtains (you can use any kind of curtains and also adjust the height of the rod to accommodate lengths) and you're done! Voila, you have a newly partitioned space! This whole thing is actually quite brilliant especially for apartment renters or anyone who can't install things into their walls. You can even use this just to hold regular curtains in front of your windows if you like, so you can avoid putting all of the hardware and hooks up. If there were four vertical rods instead of three, you could even construct a neat canopy for your bed. That said, in this kit there are only enough rods for three main vertical poles so you will have a more "L" shaped partition unless you buy more than one kit. This is a great way to easily and quickly create a new private space or just keep things out of sight. The whole setup can support up to 40 lbs of curtains. Make sure to measure your space correctly just to make installing easier.

The instructions are a joke. You’ll give up on them 1/3 of the way through and use context clues to install them.To save you the headache:The spring ends are what touch the ceiling. Just build it with whatever lengths you need to reach and ignore the garbage instructions. Same with the horizontal poles.That being said, it is surprisingly sturdy and works to separate a space or provide privacy. I needed a quick fix to separate the “gym” from the living room and this did the trick but the instructions were abysmal. There are about 40 extra pieces so if you have 100’ ceilings - you should still have enough material. *wink*
