Our 2018 GMC 2500HD truck displayed a TPMS system fault on the dash for 3 tires. This tool made is simple to determine if the actual sensors were the problem or if a recent battery replacement affected the system memory. 3 of our sensors were actually in need of replacement and couldn't be reprogrammed. This is good information to have. Here is the process:Reprogram TPMS Sensors - 2018 GMC 2500HD (Dash Display)Park, set brake, turn ignition ON (engine off).On dash display, navigate to TPMS menu, select "Relearn."Dash prompts learn mode; horn chirps twice (learn mode active). To use the key fob on some vehicles- Press/hold key fob LOCK+UNLOCK 5 sec; horn chirps twice (learn mode).Start at driver front tire; use TPMS tool at valve stem, press activate.Horn chirps once; sensor learned. Repeat for passenger front, passenger rear, driver rear. After last tire, horn chirps twice; process complete.Turn ignition OFF, adjust tire pressures.Horn Beeps Meaning:Two chirps at start: Learn mode activated. One chirp per tire: Sensor ID learned. Two chirps at end: Relearn successful. Two chirps before all tires done: Relearn failed, restart.

I used a 9-volt battery I had on hand, and this TPMS reset tool worked flawlessly on my 2021 GMC Sierra. Here's the process that worked for me:Start the truck and scroll to the tire pressure screen.Press and hold the scroll button on the steering wheel until the horn beeps.Begin with the driver’s front tire.Press the button on the tool—wait for the green light to flicker.Aim the antenna at the base of the valve stem—horn beeps to confirm.Move to the passenger front tire, then rear passenger, then rear driver, pressing the tool at each valve stem.A double horn beep at the end confirms all four tires are programmed. The tool worked better and faster than the one used at Discount Tire. For just $11, it’s a great value. I’d totally recommend this to anyone needing a reliable and affordable TPMS reset tool.

This TPMS relearn tool is essential for syncing tire pressure sensors to the dashboard when rotating tires on my Chevy vehicles. I’ve tested it successfully on a 2020 Colorado, 2015 Malibu, and 2022 Silverado, and it worked flawlessly each time. The process is similar across these models, but you’ll need to check your vehicle’s manual for specific instructions on entering learn mode. The device is simple to use, requiring a 9V battery (not included). It triggers the TPMS sensor to send data to the vehicle’s computer. It has a short range to avoid interference from other TPMS sensors. Basic instructions are on the unit, with more details online. It’s straightforward and effective, making tire rotation a breeze.

When I bought by 2018 Chevy Sonic the TPMS sensors were not aligned with the dash display so although my front left was low, it showed up as rear right. I lived with it until I discovered this device which allows me to painlessly reset the sensors and display pressure in the correct places. The device arrives without a battery (which I knew beforehand) and nobody has 9v batteries kicking about the house anymore so I had to go buy one of those, but also it comes without instructions so you have to use a combo of car manual and YouTube to figure it out yourself. Even then, I had to fool around trying to get my car in relearn mode, since the online directions didn't work. Here is my instruction manual for anyone struggling with a 2018 Chevy Sonic Premier...1) Sit in car with engine running2) Go to the screen on the dash which shows your tire pressures3) Press and hold [select] until it asks you if you want to enter relearn mode4) Select yes, car horn beeps twice5) Get out of the car and go to front left tire6) Place the antenna next to the tire valve7) Press and hold the white button on the device8) Horn beeps once when it resets this sensor9) Go to front right and repeat, then rear right and finally rear left.10) After the single horn beep on the last tire you then get a double beep to confirm all done.11) Go to the fridge, crack open a beer and write a reviewHopefully this helps anyone who may be struggling. This device does what it is supposed to do, but it does not come with any guidance on how to make that happen so I dropped 1 star. In the days of USB, I wonder if they could make this a rechargeable unit and get rid of the 9v battery.

My TPMS system was intermittent, it would work sometimes and not others. Before I replace the TPMS sensors in each wheel (it involves removing the tire from the rim and changing the valve/TPMS sensor - labor entensive), I ordered this to see if reprogramming each sensor would work. This is a very economical tool, and I'd rather spend just a few bucks instead of a lot replacing the sensors. The tool requires a 9 volt battery - it is not a rechargeable tool. It works quite well and solved my sensor problems (I've just reprogrammed it, so we'll see how it works over time.) It saved me from going to a shop and spending a lot more money than this tool costs.PS - when I opened the unit, I didn't see any instructions, then found them printed on the back of the unit. They're very simple.

The device works as intended but has no instructions at all. I knew what it did and what I was doing. I was able to use it on my Nissan Versa Note S.However, if you are going to make something available for sale to anyone, short instructions on how to use it should be included. Even if it is just a weblink or QR code on the device.
