The bulbs worked fine for a few months but then I noticed that they were not nearly as bright as they used to be. I went to replace them and found that the bulb part had completely separated from the metal base used to hold the bulbs in place. This happened for all three of the bulbs I had installed in the fixture. There are wires in there connected to circuit board. Exposed like that, the slightest touch caused connections between the wires emitting sparks and smoke. Clearly a fire hazard.

Thanks to the current political climate I was unable to find the original halogen bulbs - thankfully there is an LED substitute that fits the elevator light socket And they will use less power - win win!

Used outdoors. Brighter than the halogens it replaced.Note bulb has a bayonet mount with 2 pins on the “tip”. There are lots of bulbs with one pin, so make sure this is the one you need.

At first I wasn't sure if these would fit, but they are a great replacement. My Braun mobility lift had some halogen lamps that would get very hot. These are as bright if not brighter and are really spectacular. I'm thrilled with them.

I really like rhis bulb as long as you don't want to dim it. It is not dimmable. I don't understand why anyone would make a non dimmable led bulb. Otherwise it's a nice bulb.
