I put these bars on my 1967 Schwinn Typhoon my folks got me when I was 10. This high rise stem and an oversized seat post have made this bike my daily rider. I can ride bolt upright and very comfortable.

Due to neck injury, I have difficulty riding my bike with the old low handlebars. This taller bicycle stem allowed me to raise the handlebars and sit up straighter, reducing the strain on my neck. Couldn't be happier with it.

I'm a slightly above average height male with long legs. Due to neck problems, I can't bend over and use "rams horn" handlebars or mountain bike versions. This handlebar stem raised the bars on two of my bicycles (I ordered two!) and I can ride them without bending over - makes my existing bikes similar to "beach cruisers." East swap.
