I love these shoes! I wear my black and white ones everyday in my classroom. I am also fighting bunions and am flat footed and these shoes are so roomy and comfortable. They are also surprisingly durable event though the sides have more of a cloth fabric on them. They are very light and don’t have much of an incline at all.

I've had this pair for 3 months and I'm quite happy with them. I don't typically purchase shoes from Amazon, but it was challenging finding a local shop that had this in stock in my size. I do already own a pair of Altra's (Escalante 2), so I know what the shoe is all about and how the fit feels. I did scour the net to see if the sizing of Solstice XT2 was vastly different from the Escalante, and in the end, I stuck with the same sizing and am happy.I got this to replace a pair of NB fitness shoes. This shoe is my dedicated indoor training shoe. I switched because I felt I couldn't splay my toes in the NBs, and when I did weighted squats, it felt like my feet were sinking or pronating. The Solstice is good in that that there is zero drop and the toe box is nice and boxy. Please note that there is light sole cushioning, but I still feel stable. Also note that I consider myself a novice lifter, so for the amount of weight I'm currently working with (45kg), this shoe is excellent. I will still go shoe-less (socks only) for certain things if I really want to feel the ground.The shoelaces are a bit short, but I have not had any problems with them (once they are tied, they are tied). I would consider the fit as true-to-size (from my own experience). It's a light-weight, super breathable shoe.I know a big complaint is the fabric not being durable. I can see this being a legitimate concern, depending on how you are using the shoe. My Escalante has the same type of fabric (from what I can tell) and I've had that shoe for at least 3 years. I wear that as an everyday shoe and it's still in decent shape.I haven't tried any other minimalist brands, or lifting-specific shoes, so I have nothing to compare to, but I do enjoy slipping my feet into the Altras. I will say that lifting with these compared to the NB fitness shoe is like night-and-day. I felt the difference immediately.

Stop hesitating and buy these runners!They have a no break in period they are literally the most comfortable pair of runners I have ever owned. I have a bunion and they fit just right!I used to be in nursing I have tried many different brands but nothing compares to these!

I was tackling plantar fasciitis and these shoes were recommended. I wear them to play pickleball. My foot is getting better every day and these shoes are helping so much. Zero drop and wide toe box is a must. I can feel my feet getting stronger every time I play. I wear a 1/2 size bigger than my normal size so my toes won’t hit the front edge. A whole size bigger is way too big. These are a great transitional shoe if you finally figured out barefoot shoes are the way to go. Strong feet vs. overly supported feet is what is needed to resolve feet issues.

These shoes are so stable- the soles are not squishy- they are firm and perfect for weight-bearing exercise. I feel as if my joints are protected from sideways movement due to the strong foundation the shoes provide. And they fit just like my other Altras. Highly recommended.

These shoes were recommended for me to play pickle ball. They have good balance of support and stretchy material for comfort. My foot is wide so the Altra brand works well to provide width throughout, including a substantial amount of room in the toe box. The bottoms are perfect for a gym floor as they don’t grab but don’t slip either. This shoe is lightweight and very comfortable. I purchased more in other colors. Highly recommend!

These shoes are really cute and are comfortable for short walks but don't have enough cushion or drop for long walks and not enough arch support for walking. They make a good daily 'wear running errands' shoe, but don't wear them if you will be sitting for a long time (including driving), because when your feet swell, they will start hurting at the top of the shoe where the laces are. I've never had shoes so tight in that spot on my foot. I wore these on an 8 hour road trip and had to take them off until I stopped because the pain was unbearable. For reference I'm 40 and in great shape and have never had foot pain in that location before, but these shoes pinch my foot when it swells. These might be good for low key gym lifting workouts, but I haven't tried that. I like wearing these to social events because they look great, but for $160 they should be more comfortable and versatile than they are.

I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a few years now and these did not disappoint in terms of the barefoot feeling.I do wonder about the quality and how long they will last but so far they have been super comfortable.My only other complaint is that the laces are very slippery and short so you have to double tie them and even then sometimes they come undone.

Toe box allows for toe movement. Zero drop is great. Over priced for how minimal these shoes are. Laces too short. Style is attractive and subtle (I got the black). I placed my custom made insoles in with no problem. I wear at work where I walk about 6 miles a day and they have been comfortable.

I don’t usually spend this much money on shoes. I’ll just start the review by saying that. But, these shoes are worth every penny. I bought the white ones, but I definitely should’ve bought them black. I only say that because white shoes get dirty so easily! And they’re too pretty to be dirty. I didn’t realize how badly my feet needed the extra wide toolbox in these shoes. And when I started walking with them, my feet just felt instantly better. They have just enough support in them to make walking really comfortable. I do wish the laces were a little bit longer. I have naturally wide feet, and I barely have enough lace left over to put them in a proper bow. Lol. Right now I’ve used them for walking, and wait training. These shoes were brilliantly for both. Will be using them to run pretty soon as well, and I have nothing but high hopes for them. Hopefully they last, as long as the price point would suggest, although I would not mind purchasing these again, even if they didn’t. Worth the money, very comfortable shoe, highly recommend

These are heavier duty than the original Solstice, which I loved, but they are just as comfy and the fit is the same. I'll probably buy another pair, because the big toe box is the greatest thing ever for my feet.

I love these shoes! I have a bunion and it’s very difficult to find a shoe that doesn’t hurt my foot. These are the perfect shoes for any workout and I highly recommend them if you have wide feet or a bunion like me. I have been using them daily since I purchased them a couple of weeks ago and my feet are happy.
