The threads were not cut all the way through and would not seal. As a result oil was spilled. I will return it as it is useless.

Remove the filter through the wheel well and and install this, then you can tilt the filter to remove without spilling any oil. Makes the job less messy and easier overall

Do not buy. This thing is junk. The threads do not spline correctly into the oil filter. I tried several different brand filters and this would not work on any of them. If you can't take the time to test and check the most important part of the tool and make it correctly don't bother. This cap is extremely important and caused a lot of unnecessary work.
