I ordered these as a replacement for a previous one. That one came with carabiners on both end which only worked with specific tools. This one with the wrap around loop end will be more versatile for certain tools (hammers and such). The length is a little short for overhead constant work with it secured at belt. If a d ring is available at chest then it would be sufficient. The tightening clip is a little weak but bc of the rubber tubing it creates good friction holding

I have been doing more repair work on staging and on roofs lately and find these to work well for piece of mind. I secure my hammer and wonder bar in particular as they can do some damage sliding off the roof. I also secure my drill, should I have that with me as well. I usually have that in a holster, but have had it flip out before. I like them, happy with my selection. They seem to be made well.

First Impressions of SECULOK Aluminum Alloy Screw Locking Carabiner Tool Lanyard, Retractable 18-30 Inch Nylon Webbing w 15 Lbs Capacity, High-Visibility for Safety on Work Sites, Reflective Green, 5 PACK (Green, 5 PACK)⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-stars✅ Easy to use✅ Flexible attachment to a variety of tools with plastic cord protector and adjustable cord lock✅ Fabrics, elastic, and stitching all seem really strong✅ Bright and easy to see❌ Carabiner end of the webbing was only single stitched -- not double stitched as pictured❌ Carabiners feel cheap and while they do lock, they lack a positive stopping pointI'm rating these lanyards 4 stars for their utility, versatility, and generally high quality materials. They lose a star for cutting corners on the stitching in one place and for mediocre quality carabiners. Read on for more details.Whenever I have to work on a ladder or a roof, I always worry about dropping the tools I'm carrying. Wearing a toolbelt helps for storing things when they are not actively in use, but there's still the concern of dropping a tool while I'm using it. These lanyards are an easy to use and effective solution to that problem.Overall the quality on these lanyards seems pretty good. I appreciated the small piece of plastic tubing on the cord to help alleviate wear and tear at the tool attachment point. In general use these lanyards should easily hold up to their 15 pound capacity rating. I tested them by attaching my drill and dropping it several times. The lanyards worked as expected. The elastic slows the fall so that when it finally bottoms out it's not as jarring as a hard stop would be.That being said, I was surprised to notice the inconsistency in the stitching from one end of the lanyard to the other. Where the tool attachment cord connects to the webbing and elastic, the manufacturer used 4 sets of stitching, yet at the carabiner end, there's only one set. I was even more annoyed when I re-checked the listing only to find that the pictures clearly show two sets of stitching on the carabiner end. The one set of stitching seems secure on all 5 of my lanyards, but I really would have liked the second set of stitching as a backup -- especially since they used 4 sets on the other end.The included aluminum carabiners are also slightly disappointing. I understand that they are not going to be carrying very much weight and I do like that they have screw locks on the gates, but the screw locks do not have positive stopping points. It would have been nice if there was a point when tightening that they stopped turning to indicate that the lock was completely engaged. As it is, you can screw the locks all the way off either end. The natural curve of the carabiner stops it from going too far when engaging the lock, but they are certainly not confidence inspiring.Overall, I'm giving these 4 stars. They should work fine for their intended purpose, but there are cheaper versions available. For the extra money, I feel this set fell short of the mark by not offering additional value for the additional cost. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.

If you're working up a ladder, or auto structure, or even just somewhere where dropping your tools mean they go into an irretrievable or difficult place, this set of tool Bungies is just the thing. Attach one into the tool come at one end to something solid left (ladder, structure up with you, your tool belt) And no more hassle climbing up and down to retrieve a dropped tool. Also no more hassle running to the urgent care when you drop an impact driver on someone's head. (They really should have a hard hat on -- but doesn't offer perfect protection to the whole body.)Referred to the court as a bungie because it has a little bit of stretch to it (If it did not the speed and weight of a tool could likely snap all but a very robust cord). The stretchiness gives it a chance to slow the tool before stopping it which is good for the tool good for the cord. The court is covered in various colors of canvas; This protects the underlying chord from abrasion, provides some extra size for visual awareness and when the court is fully extended becomes part of the restraint system. The nylon canvas strapping is particularly robust. The cord on one end with its adjustable loop is sewn on with four rows of stitching which seems likely to survive at least one drop. The lockable carabiner at the other is attached with only a single row of stitching although it appears to be double stitched it is likely robust enough for at least the first drop, That is really the only real weak spot. Finally the canvas strapping is available in many colors I prefer the safety yellow slash green of the high biz ability jacket. Sit in sight for the user and to my mind marks it as a safety device.Pretty solid; looking forward to using it on my next airborne project -- which just happens to be working on a tin roof horse shelter. You don't want to drop an impact driver into a pile of wood shavings and manure. Just sayin'
