Don’t fit. Don’t cover the foot well!! These are sturdy looking but will not fit right. Will have to send them back. Disappointing!

I see a reviewer saying it didn't fit a 2021 kodiak 450. I'm not sure what to make of that, I sure thought the 2021 was the same as my 2020 except for color choices. Maybe they were trying to put them on the wrong sides?Anyway, it fits great on my 2020 Kodiak 450 4x4. I don't go trail riding. I rarely cross logs, pretty much never cross large rocks. I use it for getting around on my hunting land. But the foot wells are pretty weak. I broke one because I didn't step in the right place getting off it. Over time, it continued to break more. I didn't replace the foot well because I thought it would just break again. But this looked like it might support the foot well? IT DOES.I expect its still possible to break the foot wells if you're big and step hard in the wrong place. But these plates do support the edge of the wells, and I expect it will be noticeably harder to break. That's why I ordered it, so I'm happy.It should help a lot protecting from rocks when trail riding too, if that's your thing.They're well packaged. No scuffs in shipping. The hardware is well packaged. The screws washers are high quality.Instructions are good enough.It would be nice if the holes in the plate were better aligned to the holes in the foot well. As it is, the plate will hinder some rocks from falling through.In regards to the reviewer who thought they didn't fit, it would be good if the manufacturer would put a big "L" and "R" sticker on them.At the current price of $116 these are the cheapest ones I see online, and my very minor complaints are not addressed by anything else close to this price. So 5 stars.

Installation of these is a bit difficult since you have to get under your ATV and hold these plates up while bolting everything in, but once you have a few bolts in to hold it up for you it is much easier. These feel tough and should protect the light plastic bottom of the footboards.

2025 Kodiak 450: fitment is rough. I am mechanically inclined and know my way around vehicles. These required significant modification (to the skid plates, and some of the plastics on the ATV) to fit appropriately. Based on the 3 other reviews that are currently available, it seems likely that there is some inconsistency in the manufacturing of these skid plates. These do seem to be well-made, but beware of fitment.
