Self tapping screws will not hold . I replaced everything with 1/4" bolts. It's going to be more solid for sure.

I need to carry ladders for work, doing roofing and renovation. This was the cheapest option that I could find and I am very pleased with it.It’s light, easy to install and does the job well.

I installed tbis on our trailer and it worked for a feew trips then I got home and our 32' fiberglass ladder was almost off of the roof. The weld broke off at the base. I wish they were made of stainless steel or painted steel.

although the aluminum gauge was sufficent every single weld on the brackets broke that hold the brackets to the supports with in a few days. several of the self tapping screws wiggled loose. I ended up replacing them with 1/4 inch rivets. for the price I expected a lot more.
