This metal vent hood was to replace one on my camper that is no longer produced. All metal, and installation was pretty straight forward! Would definitely recommend!

I ordered this to install a vent hood inside my RV as I recently had to replace an older microwave but could not find any that were over the range. I ended up making a cabinet for an insert one but needed a vent hood to catch the heat from the stove and vent it outside and this did the trick.I was not difficult to install although I did worry about hitting something going through my wall (which I did not).It comes with a sealant to put behind the outside piece in line with the screw holes and then they recommend using caulk or sealant around the outside (which I did). It also comes with an extension piece which I did add mainly because this is a little larger than my vent hood outlet and I just wanted to make sure there was no way any heat could get inside my wood wall on the way out of the RV. It comes with some metal type tape to put the two together.It also has a lock on the flap to keep it from opening but because my installation sits off the ground about 11 feet I am just leaving mine unlocked all the time. The weight keeps it shut almost all the way unless you are driving or moving back and forth a lot on bumpy terrain.Overall, great product and glad that it is aluminum so that I don't have to worry about it cracking or rusting over time. I was going to paint it white but ended up leaving it black as the finish looks nice and it does not stick out much on my white RV with all the logo stuff on the side. I would buy this again if I ever have to do this in another RV.

Good product. It comes with everything you need except screws. I deducted 1 star for the lack of screws. It fits the factory hole and factory screw holes but if you lose a screw or one breaks, you’re out of luck.
