Bought 2 and put one on my car and another in my sisters car. Upgrade to a failure point. When installing i do recommend starting it from the bottom the new o ring is slightly larger but if you start it from the bottom when going on the car and make sure it doesn't get pinched it will work fine

For the price, I wasn't expecting much, but it's high quality machining. Now to go and install

Replaced cracked plastic OEM for this much studier one. Not sure why BMW would use a plastic fitting when it becomes brittle and cracks/break with age. The new one should last a lifetime of the vehicle.

The O-ring is too thick and when you try to fit it in it gives you an uneven seal, tried it with the OEM O-ring and it fits perfectly until you try to screw it in and the screws go in a angle. It’s nicely built but not accurately made.Car: 2008 BMW 328i

This part was easy to install, fit perfectly and saved the day for $7 and same day shipping! Old part blew apart, major bummer and fortunately swapping this in required no additional hardware to be removed for access.

Whilst this is a much needed enhancement, it is by no means without issues. You are unlikely to just take the old plastic flange off and swap it out with this one. Chances are that you'll have to drill out the holes like I had to as the original holes don't let you screw it in and seat it properly. Also as you can see the O ring supplied with this is larger (wall thickness of the rubber) than the OEM original (the pic has the supplied on the left). I ordered an OEM one instead to use on my N52 engine.

This is a perfect upgrade to replace the BMW plastic coolant adapter at the oil cooler.

Effective Upgrade: After installation, I have experienced no leaks, which is a significant improvement for my vehicle.Quality Material: The aluminum construction feels durable and sturdy, offering a long-lasting solution compared to the original fitting.Cons:The installation process was a bit tricky. The holes didn't line up perfectly, making it a challenge to fit. While there was no need for drilling, finding the right angle to fit it required some patience and effort. Wider holes could have made the installation easier. I rate it 4 stars because of that.Despite the challenging installation, the Aluminum Water Hose Fitting Upgrade is a worthwhile investment for anyone experiencing leaks. The improved performance and durability make it a recommended upgrade for BMW E90 owners.

Screw holes did not line up with the car, had to bore larger holes. The supplied rubber washer is also too large for the coolant hole, it required a huge amount of force to fit 80% of the way in and then broke. After re-boring the screw holes and re-using the old rubber washer, I got the part to fit satisfactorily. I would not recommend if you're hoping for a plug and play part

The fitting seems to be well built and the measurements seem to be OE specs. However the supplied O ring is definitely too big. You could install it in by force and using a long socket with a ratchet slightly smaller then the bore of the fitting and pull down with the ratchet. However it is going to damage the O ring regardless if you apply grease or coolant to lube the O-ring and will start leaking at some point. There is a workaround though if you buy O Ring Assortment from HF the 1 1/18 1 3/8 with 1/8 section seems to fit well and you can install the fitting without too much force after lubing with the coolantI installed with the aforementioned O ring and torqued to spec. Been testing for the past few days and no leaks. Also I would advise you to use the hose clamp provided as it seems to be made from aluminum as well.
