I waited until my daughter was about 7.5 pounds before I started using these (mostly because even though we told everyone we were cloth diapering people still have us new born disposable diapers)At first I was concerned about having to make sure I washed them in time to always have enough for the next day. In the end I bought 2 sets of alvas and I was given 5 more. The 17 works perfect for me to make sure I have one in a quick little to go bag for short outtings and then plenty at home to change her.I read a review of someone complaining about how the liners always ended up soaked which doesn't make sense as a complaint as the point is for the liner to catch and hold all the pee... It's going to be soaked ..But after about 2 months of using these cloth diapers I truly have no complaints.I put one insert liner into the pocket part, and I made liners from microfiber to put on top of the diaper to catch any poop. (You can buy these liners as well.. reusable or disposable). The description said you can wash and dry all of the parts but I like to air dry the shells while the inserts and liners go into the dryer. When she was 7.5 pounds it did make her butt look bulky lol but it helped her fill out her new born clothes so it didn't bother me any. Now is she is 10 pounds and wearing 0-3 and some 3 month and either I've just gotten so use to how they look or they just don't look as bulky any more to me. Not sure which. Regardless it hasn't affected my lifestyle or day to day events to have to wash and care for these diapers, it hasn't affected my daughter's ability to properly wear her clothes, I have had zero issues with leaking or weird smells. It's been great! This is my first experience with cloth diapering and now I'm wishing I had done it with my other kids

I'm a new mom who is new the whole cloth diaper scene, but I really wanted to give cloth diapers a try. So we ordered 4 packs of cloth diapers from 4 different companies (all pocket diapers). Alvababy (the most expensive of the four, with 12 microfiber inserts), Wegreeco ( 6 bamboo inserts and wet bag), Leekalos (6 bamboo inserts and wet bag), and Lilbit (6 bamboo charcoal inserts, wet bag, and disposable liners). We are two months in with using only cloth in the day and disposable at night. So far I have not noticed much difference in the diapers themselves. The Alvababy have slightly smaller pockets so they are a little harder to stuff than the others. What I have noticed is that the bamboo charcoal inserts that come with the Lilbit diapers are the most absorbent. They also dry the fastest in the drier. So those are my favorite. Second favorites are the Wegreeco and Leekalos. The Alvababy leak through quickly compared to the others and one of the inserts is already coming apart. However, they do have very cute designs!

Obviously got these for the jack cloth diaper 😂 but they're great quality and as you can see they fit pretty good on my babys rumpYou can make them smaller for a newborn personally i waited until he was 8 pounds (he was born premature so 6pounds ) just so he could fill them out a little better since at the hospital even the Nb pampers fit way too big for him

Great quality, love the prints! However the microfiber inserts are very thin and will lead to pressure leaks if your baby pees a little more than newborns. Highly recommend ordering hemp or bamboo inserts separately to have the best experience!

These are awesome! The extra inserts are great i however wish there was an option for a different insert fabric but these do pretty well. The same diaper fits my 6 month old boy and my 2.5 year old girl . 2 diapers per every 1.5-3 hours with no leaks(seems 3/4 hour mark is the pushing point) between both children. Awesome!

Be sure fabric softener is not used or combined with the detergent or you will have leaks. Easy to wash the poop off before throwing in the washer. Fits newborns and older. Very soft and easy to snap. I use the pad in the pocket, but can be used outside as well.

These cloth diapers are sooo cute i love them! My baby loves them too. I used the inserts that came with them and lasted upto 4 hrs without changing for 2 inserts and 2 hours with just one insert on. I use them with bamboo charcoal inserts and they work perfectly! It goes to show that quality products dont necessarily have to be expensive! It fits my son perfectly, even my older son tried it on and he's six haha!

We LOVE Alva diapers. We wanted the economical and environmental benefits of cloth diapering, but we're not the type to get caught up in the diaper fashion show. I mean really, they're just going to poop in it! :D We have four sets of six diapers which keeps us going without emergencies. We can do a three-day weekend out of town with that many diapers if we plan ahead and have most of them clean before we leave. We air dry everything on a nifty bamboo rack. Our baby is now 10 months old, and we've saved hundreds on diapering. Totally worth the initial start up cost!
