Rivets on pulley rub deck causing pulley to not rotate.Pulley has protruding rivets where OEM pulley has flush or plug welded rivets.I tried grinding the outermost rivets flush, but now the innermost rivets are contacting the deck.This pulley doesn't fit and isn't a replacement for AUC16698 as the seller states.Am buying an OEM pulley!

The pulley has an extra row of rivets holding it together versus the John Deere original. These extra rivets connect with the shield when the bolt and nut are tightened thus binding the shield to the pulley such that the pulley will not spin freely. To get the pulley to spin freely I used a grinder to grind away enough of the extra rivets to eliminate interference with the pulley.

Fit perfectly and seems to be working well. Make sure to keep your original bushing if changing the idler on a 54C deck.
