Really a beautiful pink glaze. It works really well over a textured surface. I fired to cone 6.

Slightly different color than expected. Amaco Celadon – Weeping Plum C-53 is a beautiful peach/pink color that pools darker in recesses when used over texture. I was expecting more of a pink/dark pink tone, but I am not unhappy with how it turned out. For me, it closely resembles the lighter of the advertised pictures and I was hoping for a color that matched the darker pink/mauve pictures. The rim of my piece came closer to what I wanted, so I think it’s a matter putting on an extra coat (which I’ll do for the next try). I had no issues with pin-holing, crazing, or running. This was a stable glaze for me and I would suggest layering with a flux if you are looking for movement. I used 3 generous coats on white B-mix and fired at cone 5 in community kiln.

It’s not my favorite color, but it’s just like advertised. Until sitting down to catch up on my reviews, I never realized how much I rely on Amaco under glazes. Good products decent price
