This Reversible assembly is designed to cut window sash and glass door parts, including rails, stiles, mullions, and muntins, on stock between 1-1/8" And 1-3/4" Thick. Assembly includes an ogee profile Cutter, a rabbet Cutter, one bearing, a 1/2" Shank Arbor, spacers, shims, and washers. Configure as shown in the drawing to cut profile and rabbet on all parts. Switch bearing and profile Cutter and replace rabbet Cutter with spacers to rout the copes. Amana is no longer made in Israel, but is now made in Taiwan. Guess what? So is the quality. Last Amana bit I'll buy. Why pay for top quality when I can buy any Taiwanese bit for a third the price?

Although it does an excellent job at cutting, it does not form any tenons on the "rail" ends. Tenons make a window frame much stronger. Had I known that this bit did not make tenons, I would not have purchased this item.

Read the part description. Was to come with step by step full color instructions by Lonnie Bird. Do not know who he is, but there were no instructions. The instructions were the reason I went with this bit over one of the less expensive bits. When I figure out how to use the bit I will rate the bit.

When I got this router bit it came assembled for one of the two profiles it can cut. It looked new but when I tried to assemble it to cut the mating profile there was a spacer missing. I called Amana and the first thing they asked is did I purchase a used bit. I told them no. The bit was not advertised as used and when I ordered it I assumed it was brand new. I ordered it through Amazon.com but it came from a place called D&K Tools. Amana has never heard of them. Amana told me they would send me the missing spacer and I'm still waiting for it as of this review. However the bit is rock solid cutting the one profile I am able to cut and it looks like it will do the same for the other profile when I get the missing spacer. I am assuming this is a mistake on either DK's part or Amana's and since this is my first purchase from Amazon it has left me a little worried about ever making another on this web site. Time will tell. I gave it only 3 stars because the bit is only 1/2 here. IF the missing part fixes the problem and that part of the bit cuts like the first then this bit is definatly a 5 star bit.
