This book stand is SOLID. The brace that let's you adjust the tilt is tight, which means it won't shift on you. And the little bars that hold the pages open will adjust to a wide variety of thicknesses.Good for kindle, tablet, phone, magazines, printed pages, or books. Probably could even use it to hold up a jigsaw puzzle box lid while working on the puzzle.Love this gadget.(Pictured here with a thin trade-size paperback.)

I LOVE to read and will often have multiple books on the go. I also do a lot of laptop and tablet work AND I like to make recipes in the kitchen with my 8 yr old.This adjustable stand is very versatile and I find it so useful I am mulling over ordering a second one.The stand is adjustable at two points on the single leg support. The base is your standard size as far as tablet stands go and relative to the size of the stand itself. There is anti-slip material to ensure the base stays in place and protects your table surface. When set up it is very stable and does not budge but can be easily adjusted when needed.The finish on the stand is my favorite. It's a soft neutral cream/off-white color with a wood grain finish - very Hygge inspired and being so neutral it blends with almost any decor.I wasn't sure about the arms when I looked at the product listing because I had yet to have a stand that had decent arms that were easy to operate and worked well. They usually are poor quality. In this case the arms are a great feature and well made. They are light weight but firm and will hold the pages down especially on large or really stiff books. I have also used it to hold papers in place that i am referencing while on the computer.Overall I love this stand and since my son loves it too and keeps stealing it I may have to order another so I can safely say I would recommend it and would order again.

This stand is perfect for my iPad mini when I need to do some typing or just reading in general. It’s really cool because there’s so many different ways to position it because the stand in several different ways. The actual board that you put your book or mini on is fairly thick and feels really well-made. It also has adjustable little arms to hold your book in place and open to a certain page or whatever you’re choosing to use it for. it’s a little on the side but to me that’s not a bad thing just tells me that it’s good quality and it’s going to last. Overall, this is a fantastic and I think it would work perfectly and pretty much any environment for pretty much any book and I’d highly recommend it.

This is a really elegant and simple laptop and bookstand. I love the look and I love that the page/book holders tuck away really nicely and firmly. The tension on the angles is really solid - this would hold quite a heavy reference book or heavy laptop and keep where you set it. Actually, my concern is that the tension might be a little too tight - it's hard to adjust, which is fine if only one person uses the workstation all the time but if there's going to need to be adjustment between people, or if the user moves it between workstations, folding and unfolding it, it takes two hands and it's a job.My biggest concern, and why I took away a star, is that when using it with a laptop, the book holding shelf makes it difficult to use the keyboard and trackpad on the laptop. I was able to balance the edge of the laptop on the little ridge created by the page-holders, which helps, but it's pretty precarious... I'm not sure it would hold up to a lot of use. I have another wooden stand where you are able to lift the bookshelf and tilt it out of the way and lengthens the stand to the bottom and has a much less tall ridge that then holds the laptop in place - a really nice feature that isn't present in this stand. So this will be good if you use your laptop with an external keyboard and mouse when using it, but probably not good for extended use on the stand.Recommend, with the above caveats.

Genuinely impressed by this bookstand and I think it is well worth the money!I wanted to test out this product to see just what kind of books it could hold size-wise, and went from as thick of a book as I could find to the smallest one in hopes of seeing if it would slip or perhaps not hold the book well enough. It held everything snugly and the rubber pieces on the bars holding the book are quite soft so it won't tear your paper of your books (my only concern is if you had a book with extremely thin paper like a Bible but even then, I would say it'd be safe if you are gentle with everything).It stand is a bit tough to move around and may require a bit of force to manipulate the stand to the right angles you want, but it reassures me in the fact that it won't easily flop over and mess up what you are trying to read. It is quite compact and could absolutely be stowed away for later usage and I may even find a small case for this just to protect it a bit more (but in all reality, it does not need it).

This is a really nice product, and can carry my heaviest cookbook (about 2.5 pounds) with ease, which is great relief. The little clips are also useful, and easily adjustable to flip pages quickly. The height of the product goes pretty tall as well, so lower counters are not an issue, but you can always make it low, allowing for whatever size space you have. The rubber at the bottom also allows for no slippage.My only complaint is that it is a bit tricky to unfold and maneuver. I am grateful it can carry my cookbooks, as well as my computer if need be, so it doesn't bother me, but if you are looking for something really quick to unfold easy to put away, you might want to go with something a bit more portable, as this product is also pretty heavy as well.I highly recommend this product if you cook often and have lots of different sized books and spaces you might use, but if you are living in a tight space and you only have a small book/s, this might not be the device for you. I really enjoy this, though, and hope to get a TON of more use out of it.

Wider than a 13'' macbook pro, i thought for some reason it would be about the same width.bottom base could be designed better for aesthetics, like without that rectangle in the middle, now i feel inclined to cover it with some kind of traysturdy! except takes a couple minutes to readjust for a textbook or something. Prone to being top heavy depending on the angle, tested it with two heavier books. Issue with the heavier/bigger books, the book holder prongs seem to struggle to keep the pages down, I can't even get the tips to touch the pages, just the middle sections of the prongs (see photos)Secure - it does not lower in height with a laptop on the stand over night, it stays in the same position.My purchase criteria was more about aesthetics, I wanted something that didn't looks weird if there was nothing on the stand, I like that the reading prongs can be tucked/stowed away. I like that it is generally all white, I was worried about it being just 1 arm, but it is indeed sturdy and secure. I anticipated I would have to cover that base area but small fix. Purchased at around $36 CAD with a coupon.Down sides!if you type on the laptop, with the laptop on the stand, it will wobble slightly. I can put reasonable force of my wrists on the stand without worrying that it will gradually slope downwards.

I use this for my day book next to my computer monitor. It easily holds the weight of my ipad. It is solid and really stable. When you position it the way you want it, it stays in place. No slipping or sagging. I like the heavy weight of the metal base and the wood board.
