I wanted just a few plates to take out on the patio and these fit the bill. They are a versatile size (salad plate) and look cute.

I have recently been switching to melamine dinnerware because of the weight of my current dinnerware. These plates are a decent size and also are very light weight. The feel like they have a plastic like coating on them but i could be wrong. Overall i am pleased with these plates. I haven't dropped them yet so i cant confirm that they are chip or break resistant.

Fifth Avenue Melamine Salad Plates | Set of 4 | Break and Chip Resistant, DurableWhen I initially took the plates out, I dropped one plate and it did NOT break, as the description stated.The plates are lightweight, as described. Because of this & the construction, it does not look as elegant and sophisticated as the photos. Hence the 4 stars.Overall, the design of the plates are okay, but their functionality is great.

I absolutely love these plastic plates . Very sturdy plastic btw (melamine) . The light grey is a nice color & these plates give me like a southwestern vibe but the way they are finished. My house is more boho theme however these still mesh nicely in my home . They are lovely to put desserts or snacks & perfect for kids and even adults . These are non microwaveable so just keep that in Mind . I love these and do highly recommend(-;

This is a really nice little set of plates. These would be perfect for a camper or if you just need some extra sets of solid plates. They’re lightweight but durable. They wash nicely in the dishwasher and seem to hold up well in the microwave. Nice quality.

I got these because I needed plates but I quickly realized that these are not it. They're not dishwasher safe so for a person that utilizes my dishwasher.. super inconvenient. They're definitely shatterproof but at the cost of not being real plates. Great for kids or if you prefer to hand wash your dishes. The color was as pictured

I'm surrounded by broken and chipped glass dishes - and of course I prefer glass dishes for company, etc but when eating alone I just need a decent plate that won't break which is easy to scrape off and throw in the dishwasher. The trade off with most plastics is that over time cleaning it will scratch it and make it useless but this melamine is very hard like a ceramic while being flexible like a plastic.Anyway - great plate.
