I have a nice collection of Portmeirion pottery. It is beautiful for teaware as well as special occasion presentations I want to make for afternoon sandwiches or small finger foods. I saw this and wanted it. (Not just because it is allegedly made at/named for the site where that old show The Prisoner was filmed)HOW THIS COMESThis came very well wrapped and cushioned with bubble wrap. Many layers covered it.QUALITYThis is a beautiful handpainted design with the flowers looking like watercolor.. nthey are beautiful. Thismis not a pressed production look but a handmade look. It has ripples and a slightly wavy edge which we love.WHAT WE USE THIS FORWe use this for biscuits at tea time, small sandwiches, or other items we want to add to small informal meals. We really love this. It goes with lot of our fine china tea sets.THE BOTTOM LINEWe love this plate. I woild definitely purchase another despite it being from the China factory vs the Made in England factory which I tend to like a little better.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. Great plate. It compliments many other pieces I have for tea and even dinnerware. We use it a lot.
