Great little product! I've been in A/V production for many years, and to be completely honest, I only used professional gear for most of that time. For lighting, we always went with Jands controllers that sometimes cost well over $10,000. We developed a need to do some much smaller and mobile applications, but I wasn't sure an inexpensive controller like this would work well. When this unit arrived, it sat in its box on my shelf for over a year. I really didn't feel up to learning a new software. I decided to break this thing out a couple of days ago, and wow, what a treat! I had virtually no problem installing the software, and it has handled every fixture I've thrown at it. The software came with plenty of fixture profiles for almost every known manufacturer. I even went ahead and created a profile for one that wasn't available. But what I really love about this unit is its simplicity, intuitiveness and stability. Well done, ADJ! Two thumbs up. Highly recommended.

Returned immediately! Had trouble initially connecting to my lighting. After about 20 minutes and multiple software and hardware resets, I finally got it to transmit a DMX signal. MYDMX 2.20 software for Mac is terribly buggy. It crashed at least once every hour (while performing different tasks each time) so you have to constantly save you projects after every step or scene. I would recommend this to anyone who wants their lighting to completely fail on them.Spend the extra money and purchase a different program! If you're a Windows/PC user there are TONS of cheaper options with more functionality and stability. Do your research.

I have owned it for about a half year an its very bitter sweet. First off im running 6 moving heads and numerous led bars and pars . The system can control wash lighting really well that about all its good for ... the moving heads are always a pain to program even with the scene builder . Oh and the scene builder want program properly it acts like its going to and then it programs some fluctuated program makin my movers pan when all I was programming was a wave effect with just the tilt . Point is save your money this is a pos unless you are just using wash lighting. Oh and not to mention your only allowed 1 dmx univers ... dont know about anyone else but that simply aint enough for me I need more and you cant add another interface to try to make 2 universes I tried it crashes the computer... and adj has absolutely no plans on fixing that problem for multi universes.I hope this was helpful to somone out there .My opinion go with a chauvet lighting software! ! !

Converter was unable to communicate between a computer and a dimmer pack. Spent significant amount of time ensuring that we had properly set up the software and downloaded the drivers, with no result. Went so far as to contact the manufacturer of the device, which yielded no results. Have reached the conclusion that the device itself is faulty in some way, but we are unable to determine what the problem is.

As title states. I'm fairly knowledgeable in DMX. But the macro functions of pan/tilt is almost too simple. I have to program all the movements manually which sucks. Other than that it works well and is easy to use. I really like the interface.

I chose this over DMXis because Amazon is so much easier to work with than the outfit that was offering DMXis. I would give this five stars except for two things. First of all it would not work with the software shipped with it and I could not download the software. However, I was able to reach tech support at American DJ and they were very friendly and helpful. They got me going in no time. Second, there is a piece rattling around inside. That makes me nervous. Nevertheless, it seems to work with the two fixtures I have now (awaiting DMX cable on backorder from Amazon for my other 8 fixtures). This is a really cool way to control my DMX lighting shows.

Initially, I was very satisfied with the product. I trialed it on a single light set in my living room and it worked fine. I don't have enough space in my home to set up a light set like I use at a show, so I have patiently waited for the past year for the 3D Visualizer software to be released (as they did for the previous MyDMX version & as they promised for this MyDMX version). There have been no updates on an estimated release date of the 3D Visualizer since January of 2013. This leads me to believe there is not going to be a 3D Visualizer released for the 2.0 version. If you've got the 1.0 version, it may work great, but if you don't have a large space to set up your complete light set, don't bother with 2.0 because it won't work for you. Its been sitting in a box since October of 2012 at my home, unused. I've learned my lesson about American DJ, they are a company you cannot trust. They'll happily take your money, but they won't back up their products.
