This was perfect for my group of Pathfinders (similar to Boy/Girl Scounts) to get the Fossil honor. They needed to start their own collection and this provided a great variety. Of course they could not guarantee me equal numbers of each type of fossil, but the selection was pretty great.

I'm not happy with this purchase. I now have ten ordinary looking little rocks. None of them look like wood. Also there was no description or label identifying what's in the bag of rocks.

They are between one and two inches but they are nice little rocks and it shipped quickly. I have used half of them already for a project I was doing and will use the other half later. they are exactly what I was expecting

Fun for special friend gifts but the really pretty ones didn't make it into this package. I should have picked them up in the field.
