This is ok; I did not realize my phone would not be completely covered when in this armband. It comes with a black cover that attaches with velcro, but it's a bit cumbersome, so when I went for a run and it rained, my phone got wet. I preferred the previous Amphipod case that I had with the clear-cover that zippered shut. But, I do like that this armband allows me to tuck the excess wire from my headphones into it.

I am disappointed with this armband. I can't keep it secure for more than a few miles. I either received a defective band with Velcro missing from one side of the iPhone holder or it is a bad design. Either way I have to move on. This definitely didn't meet my needs. I would rather run with my phone in my hand for now.

I am not sure where the other reviews are coming from. I purchased the item with hopes that, in a world where smart phone accessories only fit apples, this might deliver and provide a solution for my workout and jogging needs (a SG III with an Otterbox case). It did not. Although the concept is good, and I am considering cutting the securing cord and adding a longer one in its place to accommodate my phone, the phone bounces around a lot (probably due to weight and size) during runs. Velcro can be tightened but honestly, not enough. Forget about using the rain cover if you have a Samsung. I really wish Otterbox would add a jogging strap to their line of quality covers. Seems like a big miss on their part.

I have an earlier version of this model and I'm sad that they decided to tinker with it. The old model was perfect -- nice bungee cords kept a phone in any size case nice and secure. The new one now bounced like crazy. It won't pop out, but it is annoying. The new design has some extra cushion and doesn't lay flat like the older one. It's still decent, but not as good as before. If you put your phone in a bulky case and want to have direct access to the screen, this is what you need. I have my iPhone 5s in a Lifeproof case so that takes care of the environmental hazards.

This product will outlast the gadget i use in it.It can take various size phones/mp3 players easily and leaves the screen usable. It is comfortable and the material is durable, the spot to wrap up your headphone cord excess is very useful.I have never used the cover..

I have a Droid X so I needed a larger than average carries for my phone. I love the versatility of this case. You cannot tell by photos but the sides have velcro on them so you can adjust it for how wide your phone is. The elastic cord holds my phone in tight while still leaving all buttons/screen accessible. The material on the inside keeps the sweat off me and dries quickly. I have had no problems with the band loosening when I run and I run for 1-2 hours at a time with it on. Once I got everything adjust for the phone and arm, I have not had to mess with again. It is just slide the phone in and go.My only drawback is that the cover pictured is really small and barely covers an ipod touch. If you try and use it with any of the larger phones like a thunderbolt, droid X, etc. it is worthless and won't even attach at bottom. I understand it cannot fit every phone so it was no big deal breaker for me since it really would not provide great protection anyway and covers the screen/buttons. I just put my phone in a ziplock bag for protection on rainy days (you can still control ipods/smartphones inside the baggie).
