AmScope BS-50P-S100 pre-cleaned, optical-glass microscope slides and coverslips have ground edges to reduce the risk of cuts caused by handling. Slides are 1 x 3 inches/25 x 76mm and 0.08"/2mm thick. Square coverslips are 23/32 x 23/32 inches (18 x 18mm) and 0.006"/0.15mm thick. The set includes 50 slides and 100 coverslips in a sealed box.
Microscopes are instruments used to enhance the resolution of an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with an objective lens and an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display an image on a monitor, rather than looking through a lens. A trinocular eyepiece is used to output digital images or video to an internal or external device such as a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers to the size of an image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity of the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or through a range of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.

It works exactly as I had planned for it to. These were purchased to be used with home school projects and it worked just fine. They are glass so if you have little hands working with you I suggest and bit of assistance from an adult. They will break easily especially the cover glass.

The slides themselves are fantastic. Very clean and perfect for what I need. However, when they arrived, many of them 5-10 were severely broken, but I assume this was a shipping problem.

These slide were not clean and many of the cover slips were filthy and had jagged edges with chips.

I dont like leaving negative comments but I have to be honest. These were supposed to be "pre cleaned" but they did have some dust and quite a few finger prints on them. Guess they would have to wear gloves to prevent this from happening. Still its easy enough for you to wipe them clean yourself.

I can't see how anyone could need better quality slides. The cover slips are clear and regular also. I do wish the cover slip container were 1/2 mm taller so that the top few slips didn't fall out when you open the box. This is a very minor complaint.

The slides are thinner than previously purchased slides, but so much as to be a problem. Each slide is perfectly clean as are the cover slips. The lid of the card board box the slides come in lifts off the top making it very easy to lift a single slide out of the box by its corner edges.

I've used these slides now for both smears and with covers. They work great. The slides are separated in the packaging by slips of paper so they handle pretty well. The covers are all stacked together and take a bit of fiddling to peel one off the stack. They are pretty well finished, though. You can see the interference fringes between the covers if you have the right light.The slides and covers are clean enough out of the box for most uses. I cleaned them for some more detailed work.
