Easy to install, would have loved a template, but the hole size was in the installation instructions. I have mine wired in parallel with the fuel pump of a Universal 3 Cylinder Diesel engine in a 1983 34' sailboat.

I was disappointed to see it has a plastic lens rather than glass. Concerned that it will not hold up to an exposed marine environment.

Seven days after return date it quit working. It was used on a boat for two trips. It had 3.8 hours on it. Garbage.A week later: Seller agreed to send a replacement after pictures sent to them. So, I took the thing apart and found that what they have to seal the cover on is worthless. The back of the casing is sealed so it is like a bowl. The face leaks and the bowl fills up with water. The water is now rusty. So the ad saying: "Featuring waterproof and steady performance, the hour meter gauge is widely used for tracking engine hours. This hour meter will allow you to keep track of engine hours so you can monitor service intervals. You can mount this hour meter right on your dash or in an inconspicuous space.Applications: Boats, automobiles, motorcycles, ATV, UTV, Go Carts, Jet Ski, Snowmobile, Lawn Tractors, Wood Chippers, Shredders, Pumps, Generators, and many more." is not really true. The meter would be mounted face up so that means anything like a boat, snowmobile, tractor, Jet Ski!.....NAAA. As long as everything is kept out of the weather it could work. Good luck.
