Q：What bait should I use for catfish to get the better results?

Depending on which of the three catfish species you are fishing to catch - channel catfish, blue catfish or flathead catfish.

Channel catfish: prefer nightcrawlers, balls of cheese, and hot dogs. They’re suckers for stink bait, too. （most numerous and smallest）

Flathead and blue catfish: prefer meat and live meals. baitfish like shad, herring, and bream, cut portions of fresh or frozen fish are more popular.

Q：What line size should I use for catfish？

10- to 12-pound test line: If you're fishing for channel catfish that typically inhabit relatively open water, where it usually weighs less than 10 lbs.

80- to 100-pound test line: If you're fishing for the usual flathead catfish that like sunken wood tangles, or if you're fishing for big bluefish that usually weigh 50 or more pounds.

Monofilament line and braided line are recognised as the best lines for catfish fishing.

Monofilament line is strong, durable and inexpensive, while braided fishing line is smaller in diameter and stronger for casting heavy weights.

Yes. The shipping is less than idea. No box, they just deliver the pole with a sleeve. Yes, they put a shipping label on the handle which is annoying to get off. But past that; it’s a really great rod. Not super stiff, but durable, good moderate action, great reel seat. I bought 2. Seem like a steal for $99.

For a medium heavy rod this rod is kind of floppy and heavy but yet strong in the backbone where its needed. The only thing I can think of that would both make it heavy and kind of floppy at the same time is it must have a solid glass blank. But I can't complain about the craftsmanship that went in to making it. It is very well made. One thing you can't find out about this rod .. even from their own website is how many eyes it has and everyone who knows about rods knows the more eyes a rod has the tougher it is. Well this rod has a surprising 9 eyes and a tip for a total of 10. Wow. The reel seat is made out of machined aluminum with 2 threaded locking rings. This rod is as tough as a tank. I would highly recommend this rod. My son and I fish for trophy blue catfish and this rod has found a place in my collection of rods. My son bought me this rod and matching reel for my birthday.

Well..... it was supposed to come with a sock and didn't it also has black marks on it in a few different places from shipping without the sock , that said it seems like a nice setup with good eyes , color after cleaning a lot is beautiful, slight crackling at 30 lb test but not uncommon during break in period , the eye wire could have been a little tighter .... but all things considered it's a beautiful setup with a great look and perfect feel . Hopefully it holds on the type of monsters I pull up ( large gar and medium shark is what I'm setting it up for ) even with the sock not there and the scuffs I love it and tbh if they see this and send me a sock I'm still going to be getting more colors so that should say a lot
