I used these trimmers for a few hours on 2 Saturday afternoons. I was impressed with their cutting ability and ease of use. HOWEVER, they were inconsistent in operating, and would randomly shut down (separate from the time-out shutdowns after not using for a certain period of time). Always squirrelly and hard to get operating again after these shutdowns. On the 2nd Saturday, after another random shutdown, they would not start. I made sure batteries were fully charged. Nothing...just blinking green light upon turning them on. The instructions, somewhat poorly written, said contact information was on cover. Not true, no phone numbers, emails, nothing anywhere. I returned them via Amazon.

Much better than the 6" chain saw. All the saw would do is vibrate the limbs and little cutting. The batteries for the chain saw fits this cutter. Nice ... 4 batteries and 2 chargers. HAPPY

These have an adjustable size opening, so with the narrower setting they cut even more quickly through smaller branches. In a couple minutes, it easily cut away pretty thick branches that were hanging low over our sidewalk. These are a keeper, I think. I like the spare battery, (which I may never need), and the extra cutting knives and the sharpener.
