I've read other reviews that state the gasket is missing. The one that arrived today is missing the piece that threads on and tightens around the cable - the big black piece. The box has clearly been opened and taped shut. That is exceedingly poor customer service. Worthless as is.

product comes incomplete. missing grey rubber wire seal insert. you will need to contact Ancor to complete the product. product is useless with out

I just ended a phone conversation with a very nice Ancor rep who explained to me that the black removable rubber seal siting inside the upper part of the plastic encloser IS THE GASKET and he is right. The smaller seals you see in the other pictures do have white gasket so costumers think that the 3/0 gasket is missing. So yea, the thin black rubber gasket is in there and it is thin in order to accommodate the large cable. Once you tighten the seal's cap you'll see that tha 3/0 cable is firmly secured although i didn't checked it in water, yet.

first review correct this is an incomplete product missing the main component to make it functional. contacted the manufacturer if they cant send the rest its going back.Update - contacted manufacturer and they sent me another one which was complete with the rubber washer to make a water tight seal. Ended up not using it anyway asd I found a better way to run my Fishfinder wires through my kayak hull.

This items does not come with the rubber insert that makes a tight seal, you will not be able to water seal your cables, waste of money,
