So here's the deal, I'm used to the more expensive car audio brand name speaker wire, with the thick cushy jackets. This was like $20 cheaper than even budget brand nvx type stuff so I figured I'd take a chance seeing as it was tinned copper.It's not bad wire by any means, but it should be noted that the jacket is pretty hard/tough. Which is good, but it can introduce rattles if not secured properly. I think that's the main reason for car audio wiring being so gummy-bear textured, to prevent rattling.I did notice, that in some areas (not many, just every once in a while I can see the copper showing through the tinning. So I guess it's true that you get what you pay for, but all and all I think it's a pretty good deal.

Bought this to rewire my pontoon boat. Haven't had time to get started yet. The boat was rewired with non coated wire. All connections was soldered and heat shrinked. That only lasted 2 years. Hopefully this wire will do the job. Only 3 stars because I haven't used any of the wire yet.

Nicely tinned copper strands, duplex wire with clear jacket, one gang marked with white stripe, easy to strip ,somewhat flat but easy to seperate to hook up to speakers this is review is for 14g wires
