These cameras are great for our home. We have a great view all around our house. It has motion detection which you can adjust the sensitivity. The installation was pretty easy.great value for the money.

I'll start with the one thing I think is good about this system ... the camera picture quality is great.BUT ... the rest of the system makes this this camera system something I would NEVER recommend.First, let's start with documentation on how to use it. VERY limited ... and not all that helpful. It feels to me that there's more aspects of the system NOT documented than what is documented. Don't expect much help from reading it ... and if you contact the manufacturer for more, they send you a file of the exact same printed document. Via email, they have tried to help (as a positive, they have been responsive) but both hardware and software limitations prohibit them from actually being much help.The problems all come to light once you start trying to set up the system to notify you when motion is detected. You quickly realize notifications become close to "all or nothing". For each area you can draw areas where any motion triggers a notification ... but ANY motion (a bee flying thru that area) will trigger a notification. There is a way to limit notifications to HUMAN and VEHICLE ... but if you want to get notice of something like a horse of coyote, you're back to also getting notified by bees and birds.There are are NORMAL EVENTS and SMART EVENTS ... and the ability to establish "lines" that of crossed trigger a notification. But you can only set up 4 cameras with SMART EVENTS ... and if you do, you then can't limit the other cameras to only HUMAN AND VEHICLE ... so you're back to notifications by birds and bees. With notifications set to ON, my phone is constantly pinging as birds/bees enter/exit an area or cross a line. The system can be set up to send you emails instead .. but then I quickly got over 100 emails about birds/bees flying around.Searching the recordings for events is just as hard to do ... because unless I just dont' know how to set the system up properly (and again documentation doesn't help) only SMART EVENTS seem to provide "markers" in the videos to denote detected motion. And FWIW, I'm a professional engineer, so I'm VERY capable and understanding of technical things.This system just disappoints. I'm stuck with it ... you dont' have to be.

What a great product. I purchased these being skeptical. I had a HIGH dollar camera system before and it failed. The quality of the picture is fantastic, I highly recommend these cameras for all uses. Thanks for providing a great product for a great price.

I had an old Q-See system from 2008 that really wasn't compatible with anything anymore. A few weeks ago I had a fox get inside the fence and killed a chicken and a turkey. I wanted to see where he got in at but couldn't get the video from my old system. Time for a new one.After a lot of review reading I settled on this one. It was easy to set up and get going mostly using the existing cables from my old cameras. The interface on the DVR is pretty simple. I can access everything using a web browser but I downloaded their "Guardian Vision" software which I like better than the browser interface.The cameras are about 85 Deg FOV with great resolution and color during the day. They stay in color mode for quite a while after sunset and switch over about 20 min before sunrise. The night vision is very clear and stable with low noise. The range is about 70 feet depending on the reflectivity of the object.One thing that I don't like is that at the maximum resolution of the cameras the image is recorded at 1280 X 1944 instead of 1944 X 1280 like you would expect. You can view the images in the standard 16:9 format with the viewer but the actual video is 9:16. I contacted tech support and they said that you can't change it.Still, for the money you can't beat it. We'll see how long it lasts.

The home is in a rural area in the U.S., which typically has a higher theft rate than the city. The work schedule in my occupation is flexible and I so I've never really had a problem with an asymmetrical presence to keep a criminal eye off guard, until the intimacy of the tire slashing. At that point I decided outdoor surveillance should be my first line of defense for home security. I got serious about it with the Annke 5MP 8 camera 2TB DVR system, and built two surveillance towers at the complementary corners of the structure to mount the cameras, which was the hardest part of the project. Annke made rest of it successful and easy with quick connect mounting and cable connections, turnkey startup and responsive support, flawless operation and compressive functionality. With 100° plus angle of view and high definition quality the video in live view is crystal clear and the zoom feature is amazing. The picture specification is same for at least 60 ft with night vision, but I'm pretty sure the maximum range exceeds 100 ft. The Annke Vision App is awesome and has all the features necessary for alerts and DVR operation. For the price I paid and the value of the system I couldn't be happier with the purchase; it would be like theft to get it any cheaper.

Camera construction seems ok but hope they can stand up to the wind and rain. Installation is easy however, one camera has color lines blocking image. I contacted Amazon and a replacement order is in route. Wish the video in the phone app was able to be enlarged. I rate this kit middle of the road and hope the bad camera is a fluke. Oh, night vision could be way better. 100' as advertised is not. More like a moderate 50 at best.Update: Has held up good to the wind and rain so far. Figured out the app and you can zoom in. I'd rate these 4.5 out of 5 over all and recommend purchase. Wish the IR reached further or if I could find a solar IR illuminator to increase the distance I think they would work great.
