I purchase this fountain to make a fun water feature in a planter in my herb garden. It came well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. The instructions on assembly were easy to follow and it went together with no problem's whatsoever.A couple of things to know before you purchase: this requires that the pump be set at a particular depth if you want to use the fountain feature. Not the hugest deal, but in my case I had to build a platform to bring it closer to the surface so it would stay where I want it and sprinkle water where I want it. Second, while it comes with a large solar panel and says it has a battery that back-charges, there is no way to set a timer on this. So, the fountain will charge during the day while it runs, but unless you are willing to go outside and turn it off, it WILL run all night, kill the battery reserve, and be barely there in the morning. Mine kind of "spits" for several hours until the direct sunshine hits the panel again. This all makes perfect sense, but I'd love to have a way to turn it off at night, if desired, so it can sprinkle in the morning. Final thing to note, The suction cups on the motor work awesome on plastic, but they will not stick to wet wood or rocks. To that end, I ended up tying mine to a rock to weight it down with twine.I've only had mine up for about 3 weeks now, but it appears to be functioning well and holding up to the weather. We have had a small hail storm (pea sized) and it held up like nothing happened.All in all - 4/5 stars. I recommend this for an easy way to put in a fun and functional water display without breaking the bank. Overall it's a good value.

I left the solar panel out in the sun to fully charge, then hooked up the pump and put it in my fountain a few days later. It worked fine for about 2 days and was running every time I looked at it, and then stopped completely. I assumed the water level in my fountain was too low so I added some water, but it's still not working at all after adding water and the solar panel is in full sun. I don't hear the pump trying to run at all either.I emailed the company and they sent me a new pump. It didn't work when first plugged in, then randomly started working the next day until it slowly died out over the course of the day and now isn't working again.Update: emailed company again and they sent a new solar panel and pump. The new solar panel seems to have fixed it. It’s only been going for 2 days but will update if anything happens.

I was expecting the pump to be a very weak thing that barely pumped a foot in height. I was pleasantly surprised it was more powerful than that, and as a bonus had a low water level turn off feature that I wasn't aware of when I ordered it for my application. This experimental grow tower of mine is off to a good start because of my purchase. I will order again for the next tower in a few months 😀
