Mat arrived exactly as expected and appears to be good quality, as thick as the current mat our group plays with but not nearly as expensive. A little bit of a factory smell upon opening, but it quickly disappeared. The carrying bag is a nice bonus for the mat and not the main attraction as it’s a bit thin. But it’s easy to toss the mat in the bag any which way and maybe some other accessories too.

This beautiful Mah Jongg mat is perfect and a great value! The rule hints printed on it are great when you are teaching new people to play the game! The colors are muted so it's not so busy as to be distracting. The rubber backing makes it so it doesn't move. And of course, the best feature is that it mutes the sounds of shuffling the tiles. I'm so happy with this mat and I highly recommend.

First, I love the mat! I protected my marble table (and my ears) from damage while we played Mah Jongg and it was so much better!The color is just cute, and I love the way the Charleston rules are written on the mat. I would describe the color as right in between light blue and light teal. The overall quality of the mat is rwally nice. RMy family of beginner players still relies on that, so its nice to have a cheat sheet on all 4 sides! It's soft and non slip,and it really didn't budge the entire time.The reason for 4 stars is that the carrying bag is so huge! It's large enough to fit probably 3 mats inside, without folding them. I dont mind folding it but its nice to have the option not to. You can see in the photo that the bag is mostly empty space, even with the mat inside. It will do for now, but ill need to modify it or find a new one later. All in all, im so glad to have a new mat!

I teach mah jongg to newcomers in our neighborhood, and was delighted to come across a pretty mat with a little bit of "help" running around the edge. Fortunately, even with all that information, this mat does not appear too "busy" or distracting. Maybe the pastel color helps with that. Anyway, I'm pairing this up with an older set that I own. I'll keep it in my car. Have set, will travel!

This Mahjong Mat is exactly as describe but feels a lot sturdier than expected. It includes a large storage bag which lets you roll up the mat so that you don't have wrinkles in the mat. It is initially shipped folded, but once you unpack it and roll it, the wrinkles should work themselves out. Definitely a must have for any Mahjong player!5 out of 5 would definitely recommend
