We inherited quite a lot of stuff when my grandfather passed and one of those items was an office chair.The adjustment backrest screw knob had broken out of the plastic housing and would not hold the chair’s backrest in place.I did a few measurements and after a few hours of researching finally found these.We could use the chair with the backrest without it falling off.We were on the verge of just tossing the backrest but glad we did some research and brought it back to life.The screw length was perfect as it wasn’t too long and didn’t dig into the seat cushion and the width and thread pattern was perfect. 8mm width screw with an unknown thread pattern but the pictures matched our broken knob screw thread so we took the plunge.The only con to this item is that because this was designed for other less-torqued items, the 5-star plastic knob is a bit hard to tighten by hand because it’s a bit small. If it was another half inch wider it’d be much easier to tighten.

Threads do not work with 5/16-18 nuts etc. Pretty close but not correct.
