These are outlasting the store bought major brand. Just remember to use gloves or towel when installing to avoid oils on bulb.

Works great for my microwave and a fraction of the cost versus name-brand appliance parts prices. I don’t know about the longevity yet, but assume it’s about as good as the original.

Great quality, long-lasting. Working a long time and well in my microwave and in a desk lamp. I am very pleased with the quality of these bulbs. Further, they come individually wrapped and if you snip off the end of the wrapping on each one, you have a way to hold them not to get finger oil on them (which makes halogen bulbs fail sooner). It's nifty.

You can bend the prongs to fit if they don't fit perfectly. I ordered the size stated on the lamp, but the prongs were differently spaced from those of the original bulb. I bent them and they worked in the lamp. Remember not to touch the bulb with your bare fingers (I used a kleenex to insert it into the lamp) or, if you do touch it, clean it carefully with rubbing alcohol and dry it before inserting it into the lamp. Otherwise, you create a "hot-spot" due to the oil on your fingers and the bulb will overheat in the area that you touched and will burn out quickly. These bulbs get VERY hot!

Yay, these bulbs fit my lamp. (Even with a ruler, G8 vs G8.6 size is tough to be sure about.)The brightness is pretty good-- fine for a reading light, anyway. The two bulbs I'm using have lasted a couple of weeks of being on for ~6 hours a day, so they seem to be lasting fine so far.

It's probably just fine. It's just that I found out that the lamp I intended it for has a built-in transformer so although it plugs into wall current, I actually needed a 12 volt bulb. I didn't return these because it was my mistake, no fault of Amazon's or the seller. But as a result, I don't know how well the bulbs actually work.

My desk lamps are halogen and use this 35 watt bulb. I found that a 35 watt bulb like this is very hard to find locally and when I did find them, they were more than $6.00 each! Here is a hint when installing halogen bulbs: Do not touch the bulb with your bare fingers. The residual oil on your fingers will cause a "hotspot" on the bulb and cause premature failure. Take the bulb out of the package, wipe it thoroughly with an alcohol swab and use a gloved hand to install in the lamp in the socket. Wipe it again with the alcohol swap once it is installed and be certain that it is dry before you turn on the lamp. Great buy and highly recommended.
