This is a nice set of mics they all operated smoothly and came with a good one inch and 2 inch sizing rod and pretty decent plastic case.

I wanted a descent micrometer set for home shop use, but could not justify the cost of well known name brands. I read a review from a machinist who states he uses them alongside Starrett mics., and finds them just as accurate. That's all I needed to know. I'm a casual user and think that this set will outlast me.

These tools receive heavy daily use in a Machine shop, and they have been spot on for the last 8 months. The calibrated perfectly (by a NIST certified calibration company), and have held their calibration ever since. They might not have the lifetime of something like a Mititoyo (only time will tell), but I actually prefer the feel of these over my older Mit's. If I need a second set (not as replacements, but just that I might need more gauges), I would buy these again.

I was raised in Athol, MA, the home of Starrett Tools. When I was young I was a machinist and all my tools were Starrett tools. After 60 years I still owned a Starrett 1'" micrometer and I still use it. So when I needed 2" to 3" micrometers I naturally wanted to stick with Starrett Tools, but the difference in cost between them and Anytime Tools made me reluctant, as a retiree and a hobbyist wood worker, to spend that additional money, so I gambled on buying the Anytime Tools products instead. They came the other day and the first thing I did was compare there accuracy to my trusted Starrett micrometer. I got a very good agreement, well within 0.001 of an inch. I tested the 1" standard that comes with the set and was able to check the 1" and 2" micrometers for accuracy as well. I was't able to test the 3" micrometer. The quality of the mics seemed to be excellent. I could not tell the difference between them and my old Starrett mic. All and all I am very happy with my purchase.

Best set you can buy for the price. Extremely useful and durable, zero issues and still going strong.

Nice set. I wish I'd realized that I needed a 3-4" one for my project as well. I could have saved a few dollars on buying the set of 4 instead of buying the 4th one separately. These things work well, are easy to read, and seem to be accurate. I like the ratcheting feature so I get them a consistent tightness. Very helpful! When these arrived, my kids and I spent some time measuring the thickness of lots of things around the house.

All three micrometers were calibrated to zero. I am not a machinist, but these will do everything I need to do. They are well made & will last a lifetime if taken care of. Excellent value for the money, especially for 0.0001 precision and repeatability.

A nice inexpensive set of micrometers. They seem accurate enough. I used them to verify the diameters of some pistons in a motorcycle engine I was rebuilding, and they worked quite well. The machine shop who did the final work for me came up with the same measurments as I did using some much more expensive equipment. I'm not sure they would be my first choice if I was a professional machinist but I'm not I will use them mostly for tasks that are likely to be verified again by a pro.The only thing I didn't like was the plastic case the hinges are molded in as a single part of the case and one of the catch tabs broke off the 2nd time I closed the case. But that is the way of the world today and as long as the other one holds I suppose I'm ok.
