Solutions to common installation problems
Problems with protruding original pipes
Prepare a pair of tool scissors and gloves to cut the protruding vent metal duct into small pieces and cut small slits.
Trimming the pipe
Cut the protruding metal tube into several small pieces along the wall opening as shown above
Flatten the cut pipes
Flatten the pipe opening along the wall after cutting it.

Very easy to assemble although your hole from the outside wall will probably be different than mine. I'm still trying to figure out how to attach this as my vent to the outside is through concrete. Hopefully you have one that can attach to wood. Some knowledge and additional tools will be required whether it be some shears to snip the metal vent to to the outside or drill bits for the wood you're attaching this to. A little knowledge may be needed for this product. Otherwise it's a good product.
