We had our hoses crack on the outside so I replaced them with some 'braided' steel ones I thought they would be great and they looked good too. I figured the braid would help protect them. They lasted less than 6 months. The joints where the hose connected to the fittings failed on both ends of both hoses... I replaced them with these Marshall Excelsior ones and have been very happy with them. They have lasted years and I now carry a 'spare' one in our RV for emergency replacement if I ever need it again. Buy these ones and you will not regret it.

These hoses cost a little more than the other brands but they're obviously better quality.

It's a Marshall LP pigtail for an RV. It's quality made in the USA. What more needs to be said?

Developed a leak after four months use. The leak is at the opd end. There is no visual indication of a flaw, inside or out. Hard to tell where the leak is by using soapy water, but I can easily hear (and smell) a significant leak from inside the plastic nut. This is incredibly dangerous, thus my one-star rating. And I did confirm that the tank itself was not at fault, by trying a known-good one.

The propane tank hoses on our 8 year old camping trailer had turned hard as a rock and began leaking after I checked the propane levels this spring, as we get ready for 'camping season'. These fit perfectly, although slightly longer than the originals. You probably won't find RV style hose fittings at your local home improvement store, all they have is barbecue related propane items.
