As someone with a master's degree in chemistry: something is wrong with this battery. Either it's second quality or been on a shelf for years. It's sulfonated and won't hold charge correctly. No returns either. SCAM.

The OEM batteries from APC in my experience only last from between 5 to 7 years. My BE750G is from 2009 and I have replaced the battery two times before with APC batteries. This one was about 1/2 the current price of an APC and is probably a 'generic' of the APC branded battery - looked identical on the outside. You can recycle the APC old APC battery using their free UPS return. This battery will have to be recycled through my County program when the time comes I guess.
