Be aware of your vehicle's suspension
Your hauling weight may be limited by your vehicle's suspension. Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to stiffen up the suspension and prevent sagging.
Know your vehicle's weight limits
Never exceed the lowest maximum rating of either of these two: vehicle's tongue weight and vehicle's trailer hitch tongue weight.
Not recommended for certain vehicles
Hitch-mounted carriers are not recommended for use on tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel and camping trailers, motor-homes or RVs.

Needed light weight for a light duty convenience hitch so wanted aluminum with sides. This fit the bill, just needed a separate adapter for my 1 1/4" mount. But that bag of tiny screws and nuts with my big fingers? Forget it. Grabbed my pop riveter and put it together quickly and it looks great.

took a little time to assemble. if you are new to putting together items the instructions need to be a little better. what comes first for example. as for me had no issues with assembly all parts in package.

Assembly was pretty straightforward, jus don’t put it together the night before your intended first use as it takes a couple hours. Nothing a 6th grader couldn’t handle.Build quality / design is excellent, and with bolt-on anti swat clamp (provided) it’s solid.My thanks to the engineer guy who previously posted about the fabrication / build —— you are spot on ! This thing is a tank.

The customer service was amazing! Super responsive and handled my issue seamlessly. The carrier is also super lightweight and easy to take on and off my hitch! Assembly is pretty tedious but I hired a handyman to put it together. But, totally worth it all, and I definitely would buy it again, and I would buy it from this seller. Cons: little pieces took forever to screw together. Super annoying at first. Directions weren’t too clear on how to assemble the carrier.Pros: It provided extra storage on our road trip. Very sturdy so far. Did not rattle while driving on the roads

Product included a basic hitch and free shipping - so not a bad price. I have seen them $20 cheaper but this unit ships as a one piece shelf. With the top rail as one piece and the bottom 48 inch shelf as one piece. This was important to me , i did not want the main shelf split into 2 pieces. I had seen some that ship in 2 halves. This also has a solid steel main support with 2inch square box tubing as the main support that will go in the receiver. Instructions are weak , i looked at the picture , parts breakdown and built it fine in an hour.Rated a 4 only because the plates (that the reflector mount on ) had 4 holes , but the shelf and top rail only came with 3 holes so I had to drill a couple of holes to mount the supports.Very sturdy carrier when everything is tightened up!

We use this on our Jeep wrangler all the time. I did have to cut out a part of the top by the spare tire so that we could open the rear door. If you don't plan to open the rear door you wouldn't need to modify it at all. This works really well with a storage bag.

I have not put this on my vehicle yet, but felt compelled to leave a review regarding the assembly. The instructions provided are horrible. There are multiple grammatical and spelling errors. The picture on Amazon helps more than the booklet. Plus, some of the bolts are metric and some are standard/US. Additionally, most of the screws are phillips, but some require an allen wrench. Once put together, it seems fine, but it took over 90 minutes to get there. Enjoy the good price, because you'll have to earn it.
