This is not the correct box for a 2012 Silverado 2500hd. It does not have the mounting location for the sensor on the box

I was so excited receiving this product. One of the screw holes on the original box became stripped, which allowed the lid to open up to the side, bypassing the filter. Which, obviously, is not good for the engine.Placed my filter inside the box. Perfect fit. Ripped the old box out after removing the MAF sensor and removing the intake tubing. MAF fit perfectly. Pushed the new box into the holes, and it fit just right.So why would the intake not fit to the cold air port in my Avalanche? Everything else was spot on. That is what was disappointing about this product.Not sure if the other reviewers do not care if the seal to the cold air is compromised, or if theirs fit as they state and it just won't fit, but super bummed about that.With the half inch to 3/4 inch space between the foam on the box to the cold air port, it would potentially pull hot air in from the engine bay as opposed to the cooler air outside of the vehicle.

Perfect just what I needed. A-Premium for the win again on this one. My old one cracked on one or the corners. Glad I could find this good replacement
