After 4 months, the built-in coolant level sensor has gone bad. So now I get to replace the tank again. Save your money and buy a better tank.

Replaced my coolant tank due to phantom low coolant warnings. This replacement cooler was not made properly and I was unable to get the bottom hose to click into place no matter how hard I tried. The hose is keyed but would not go in further than a couple centimeters when lined up. This led to leaks and overheating. Bought an OEM tank from Audi and the hose clicked in with minimal effort. This tank is made poorly- just buy the OEM tank from Audi to avoid any further complications.

Works but the sensor they use keeps throwing phantom low coolant alarms almost daily. Pretty annoying after having a leak in the last one I was hyper sensitive at first. Coolant level has been fine. I may put the old sensor from OEM leaking reservoir in this one.

This was installed by my certified Audi mechanic. The upper front reserve hose will not "CLICK" in. It feels like it has clicked in but no clicking in sound. Hope that makes sense. The end result was 35 mins from home "CHECK ENGINE COOLENT IMMEDIATELY!" luckily I had coolent with me. Sure enough The top hose blew off coolest all over the left hand side. Reattached the hose felt like it was "Clicked in" nope! Thought maybe the hose was the problem bought new hose no "click". Ended up buying a certified Audi replacement reserve bottle. No issues at all. Maybe this is a one off, not quite sure. But unhappy being out of the hard earned money spent. To the manufacturer: TRY HARDER AND STEP UP ON YOUR QUALITY CONTROL.
